I read this yesterday, hit me right in the feels. Silver lining is he's in the right place now to give him the help he needs. Very sad for a genuinely good hearted and fun loving guy to have to deal with this, sounds like him and his family have some very rough days. Get better Mule -

Calling it now: I think the Wings get a perennial 30 goal scorer and a legit top 2 d-man in this draft. They are due for some draft luck and with 8 picks in the first three rounds I think they hit on a couple at least. -

Here's a fun fact. In the 2004 entry draft the first player selected by the Wings was Franzen. 3rd round. 97th overall. This year they'll pick 7 times before selection 97 and their 8th pick is at 98. How can you not be excited about that? Edit: spelling -

No. Franzen was a lazy floater. CTE had nothing to do with it. He never would have been better than Hossa even with a healthy brain. He is and always will be a Bumb. Yzerman clearly didn't know him at all when he gave the "Mule" nickname. He clearly didn't know what hard work was. -

Yes. He showed them his college ID. That said, I wouldn't be disappointed with Hughes at #6. It's just that I would literally prefer every other player mentioned over him. Nor should they be. I remember when the complaints were about them trying to stay competitive when they should be rebuilding. Now that they are rebuilding we shouldn't be complaining about them not being competitive. (Not that you are) -

I'm not sure what number that was, I'm not sure if we have an actual number he sustained while playing. Franzen wasn't a rough player as we know, but he definitely played in the rough areas of the game so I'm sure he had a few in the beginning that went undetected. I like Roberts too, but theres no need for things like this in the game on a guy who everyone knows is suffering from concussions. At this point his brain had the strength of an eggshell -

That was hard to read. Loved the Mule and totally understood that hos decline in play was related to head injuries. It was so obvious at the time. Also, f*ck Gary Roberts. -

actually from the definitions, it is not a demographic thing, the two spelling mean two different things. You wouldn't say "write a sentence and make sure you use Capitol letters." Here this describes it perfectly: The Washington Capitals play in the Capital of the USA where there is a huge Capitol Building. There is a Capitol Building in the Michigan Capital of lansing, oops, I forgot to use a Capital L in Lansing...
