The Neo Plan:
1.
Play Ned and Greiss together every game.
2. Call up McIsaac, Murphy, and Lashoff, and Make 5 d pairs.
3.Play 3 dmen, 2 goalies, and 1 forward on the ice at all times. Only allow 2 skaters to ever cross the other teams blue line.
IDK why it took me this long, but I just made this connection...
Lane Lambert and Matt Barzal both work for the Islanders, and Stevie is rumored to be in on both of them...
How great would it be if we could acquire Barzal and bring over Lambert at the same time. Welcome to the Wings Matt, oh and btw we went out and got your old coach for you.
Rookie roommates Stevie and Lambert win their first cup together as manager and head coach 40 years later. Cute.
Mel Pearson for HC? Been a long time NCAA coach for U of M and has absolutely picked up where Red Berenson left off for the Wolverines. Could hire him as soon as he's done blowing out the NCAA finals for an easy championship.
The other thing that needs to be addressed in the goalie coach. Saljako was the f*** stick we brought in to replace Bedard cause Mrazek didn't like Bedard. Lotta good that did. Mrazek went to s***, Howard fell off a cliff, now our goalies are getting lit up again.
Head Coach: Blashill Lambert
Assist Coach: Houda Gronborg
Assist Coach: Tanguay (keep)
Goalie Coach: Saljako ?????
There are many scenarios where I'd argue his number of games played might be too quick to give up. But progress has to be shown during that time. Zadina hasn't shown that.
Team has been mailing it in once they lost sight of the wild card and I blame Blash for that. So tired of the after game presser when he says "I don't know why we started slow" look in the mirror your job it is to make sure we DON'T start slow. Much like Jacques Demers Blash has hit the end of his rope as far as moving a team forward
I see no reason NOT to let him go have Paul Boyer coach rest of year as he can't do worse than Blash. Then bring in a fresh voice be it Lambert or another.
If their future is screwed its because they completely blundered the 2015 entry draft.
Bergeron is aging, but he'll age well. So will Marchand. They were able to adequately replace Chara and Rask. Defense and wingers are pretty decent. All they need to do is gun for centers for the next 4 years. I don't see them completely falling off like we did anytime soon.
