Agreed. And it's not like Blashill hasn't done everything possible to get him going. He's played him up and down the lineup, given him powerplay time, better linemates, scratched him, etc. etc. etc. What else can the coach do? The dude sucks. His best attribute is that he hustles. That's it. What a waste of a top pick.

Power play is about the only thing looking good right now and that was all Tanguay. Seems worth a shot.

He pissed in the zam pit and they got it on camera this time. Then he argued with management about it so they put him on leave and now fired him. Normally I'd agree with Yzerman on this one, but this is pretty normal behavior for a 68 year old polish man. If not tame.

Al wasn't part of the "process" and Blash needs a job after May 1 so he gets a soft landing. Blash will drive the Zamboni which is about all he is capable of at this point

His development has simply been becoming not a liability. That isn't good enough for a guy who is supposed to score. Going into this season I was on board with giving him one last chance before jumping on the bust bandwagon; which I feel was fair given his age. Zero improvements. Bust. He'll make a career for at least a few more seasons bouncing around from team to team with GMs hoping he can find some of that draft pedigree in him. He'd make a semi-valuable trade addition right now only due to his age in hopes a change of scenery works. But it won't. Veleno has shown growth over time. He is okay.

Any other choice aside Joel Quenneville is laughable. But after the Blackhawks fiasco I'm going to assume he's in purgatory with Babcock forever.
