Lol... really? Our playoff hopes lie with a semi-washed up back-up? Bummer. As far as your second comment, Larsson has confidence and, apparently, something to prove. Give me that guy every time over the complacent old guy that accomplished everything already. Pretty sure Holland has zero time or desire to get involved in petty pissing matches between goalies. Lol.

    just met brad may!

hey guys/girls. im from abbotsford bc. canada.. right near vancouver bc. tonight im at work. work at a hotel and brad may came in i recognized him and say mr. may? he quickly dropped his luguage lol and shook my hand and we talked hockey for about 10 minutes. told him it was great having him on the wings last year. he went onto say boy are they banged up or what too many injuries i put my head down and said yea he went onto say with pure enthusiasm that you watch they will go onto win the Cup! he said this adversity is going to bring them through to the top! then he said that he will kick himself in the ass lol if the Wings do win because he rejected a 2 way deal from the wings after maltby rejected to but honestly this man was so nice told him all the good things about him and how Redwing fans loved having him on the team as so did i. just a great guy overall real talkative and hes now working for CBC starting tom. he said.. as he has been working for canadas network "sportsnet ontario"

Been to more Spirit games than I have Wings games... Sometimes it's more fun to watch than NHL. Go Spirit!

Despite the comments Larsson made about the Wings organization (whether they translate from in tone and harshness accurately or not) I've always been a big Larsson supporter and was glad the Wings retained his NA rights for the next 3 years. I've always felt he had the skills to potentially become a solid goaltender. THat doesn't mean he'd pan out but I always liked his game. That being said, I just don't see how this whole scenario would come to fruition. I think what would be more likely to happen (if anything) would be for Larsson to get a training camp invite next season and compete for the back up role since his SEL season has been so strong (assuming Osgood retires this year). Lemieux and McCarty

McCarty usually charges around 20 bucks for in store signings, thats just his price. he'll sign for free at charity events or other events aswell, but with in store signings, its generally 20 bucks. plus anyone who collects wings autographs probably has him on a few things. If i went to this signing, which i plan on, i'd probably just get the 60 dollar ticket that includes both sigs and the 16x20, so a single signed lemieux item isnt going down on my end. him charging 5 dollars more than McCarty isnt a big deal though. he's travelling here, and someone's likely gonna call him a dick at some point.

    All-Star Game

Going to the skills competition might be interesting but I wouldn't drop that much money on tix for the ASG. Save it & use it to buy tix for the Wings in the finals this season.

    All-Star Game

I wouldn't go. Put that money towards a flight in to Detroit Metro and Wings tickets!

    Doughty HUGE hit on Hall

Yes he did get up an go after doughty but I'm pretty sure what doc is trying to say is that if Hall didn't like it then the oilers team should just let him and only him go after Doughty not every Oiler on the ice.

If Ozzie truly is out for the season, I honestly don't think we have much to look forward to when it comes time for the postseason. After Larsson's comments, though, I don't see Holland trying to bring him back in. Would be more trouble than he's worth. Might as well bring in Ray Emery at that point.

    "Everybody Hates Lebda"

This is hilarious. No one took us seriously when we laughed at Burke for signing him. How Burke has the reputation he does in the media is baffling. Dude's on par with Lamoriello in terms of vastly overrated GMs.

    "Everybody Hates Lebda"

lol yes. That's when it was first announced. There's one other article I can't find, possibly by someone else, about the leaf's chances preseason, touting Lebda as the reason they will have a fast jump on the blue line. But lol... if Lebda is Burke's best move to date, the guy seriously needs to be fired from hockey.

    "Everybody Hates Lebda"

Can anyone find the article where Eklund (I think that's who it was) praised this move in the offseason, saying it was one of the best signings of the summer? He predicted Lebda was good for "at least 40 points" and that Detroit would sorely miss him. Honestly we could lose about four or five more defensemen and I still wouldn't miss Lebda.

    Red Wings Tough Guy?

Well good luck with finding a post that says I hate the idea of having an enforcer. Bring them up, detective. If everyone "knows" then it wouldn't be too hard to find something that proves it. Or maybe the majority of the "pro-enforcer" crowd seems to misinterpret most people's opinions that do not agree with theirs as "anti-fighter". No, can't be that.

    Jiri Hudler Watch Thread

You know, Eva, your flagrant bias has become even more bizarre this season. Apparently you're ignoring the fact that Howard is currently 22-7 and leads the NHL in wins. We know you love Osgood. We know you love Hudler. Unfortunately, we also know that you often lose touch with reality when it comes to discussing them.
