@Bill_Roose: The #RedWings have placed veteran forward Mikael Samuelsson on waivers today.

Right decision I think

It's about time!!

This might be getting a little heated. Just know I don't hate any of you guys.

That doesn't mean that I respect ideas & opinions. Some ideas & opinions are ridiculous.

In fact, if you confront my ideas & opinions, that will lead to a discussion. (We're on a discussion board after all. Don't forget that!)

Finally!! Maybe if he goes unclaimed he'll just straight up retire.  Wishful thinking!

Awesome, about time. What does this do to our cap hit? I know that's been mentioned quite a few times around here but I can't remember now.

100k relief. So not much but as long as we have guys on IR it's all about roster spots. And it's about freaking time this happened.

I think this is one of those threads where there isn't a discussion to be had, it was the right decision by Kenny.

it gives us $100,000 cap relief but a much needed roster spoy. this is interesting thou as many reports say he wont be claimed on waivers, I got a hunch that Kenny has sounded some teams out about Sammy, they wont take on his salary but may thru waivers. He could do a contender a job on their 3/4 line maybe.

"Yeah, every game, you want some coach?" Steve Hanson
"Er, no. No thanks guys." Reggie Dunlop

I like this because they chose to dump Sammy rather than send down a kid who's been playing great instead!

Finally, a good roster move decision!

Cleary next and we'll be getting somewhere.

This is 100% the right decision, so happy it's finally happening. I would have been disgusted if he played 1 more game for the Wings.

Sorry Sammy. I actually liked you way back in your first time here, but this 2nd time around was just a huge failure.

Given that Cleary has been wearing an A during this last few weeks I'd be surprised if he gets waived, will have to wait for the off-season for that.

Good decision. We shouldn't run into cap-problems untill Weiss returns and the team is playing great without him so this is the right call here. But if he stays unclaimed he unfortunatly has to be called up when Weiß returns. I don't see a workaround for this capwise.
