Which would go a long way in helping fix the problem, I'm just curious to see what the limitations on it are. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nhl/2015/03/17/general-managers-meeting-three-on-three-overtime-coach-challenge/24906133/

Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted June 9, 2015 Tampa bay > Chicago.. You could say this the whole series actually... I really liked the breakout on that game winner. Chicago was playing an aggressive game by sending both wingers into the corner to pressure, and they both got caught deep with a simple pass around the boards. After winning the faceoff, Paquette races across the blue line as a faux-outlet pass for his winger, but that just eliminates Chiago's high forward from the breakout, because he has to cover Paquette. Meanwhile, Hedman is activated from his own faceoff dot and the guy who should be covering him is still curling out of the corner due to aforementioned aggressive commitment. That left Hedman to take an easy pass with good speed out of his zone and break through into the Blackhawk's zone unmolested. Add that to a bit of lazy coverage in the slot and the series is 3-2 Lightning. Awesome play from faceoff to goal.

If Chicago wins, it will be gross, but I'll except it because that's what they've been doing and that's what's supposed to happen. It will be really painful if Tampa wins this series because it could have been Detroit. Edited June 9, 2015 by rick zombo 1 e_prime reacted to this

It will be really painful if Tampa wins this series because it could have been Detroit. I'd love to agree but I just can't. Yes, we probably could and should have beaten Tampa, but they've really progressed a lot since the Detroit series, and have played much better to get to where they are. I'm dubious about Detroit getting over the line against any of Montreal, New York or Chicago. Edit: And FWIW - I'm still supremely confident the Bolts will take the Cup with much less trouble than everyone thinks.
