If I gambled, I would put a lot of money on Chicago under-performing. Cup hangover is for real (some teams do not even make the playoffs after losing less players than Chicago) and only one key injury could hamstring them worse than multiple injuries did to Detroit last year.

Glad he's doing well, wish he could've stayed a Wing but it just wasn't in the cards.

I'm glad to hear they want him. I'd prefer him in red but at least he gets to play at least one more season. Maybe the Wings can try to get him back next year if we need him.

Ericsson is a big guy with no physicality. Like Uwe Krupp, Maxim Kuznetsov and Yan Golubovsky. He still remains to be proven, unlike those guys, but that's what he looks like so far. Just a big, soft jellyfish.

Janik would fit the bill as a #6D imo...simple plays, physical, takes care of his own end, limited on offense but who cares about offence on the 3rd pair puts up? Salei-Janik would be the best until Kindl is ready.. I just want Ericsson to get sent to GR, doubt he would get picked up. People need to remember Ericsson used to play forward, he hasn't the "DEFENSE FIRST" locked in his head, therefore he's not suitable as a 6th D and not good enough for top4 minutes etc.
