    Red Wing's Wine

I've seen it but I refuse to buy or drink it becasue it's from California and with the simple fact that the Wings hold their Training Camp in Traverse City, Michigan you would've thought they would have worked something out with one of the local wineries here in Michigan. There are about 50 or so Wineries around Michigan so it's not like they couldn't find a Winery right here and support our States Economy. It's probably the one Red Wings item I won't buy.

    Training Camp Cuts

As someone who has watched Smith in Grand Rapids last season (I had season tickets last year and went to 34 games), I can tell you that he needs another season in Grand Rapids as a top line defenseman. Now, if he can get partnered with Nick and play first line minutes in Detroit, that would be fine with me as well. The experience of playing with Nick could go a long way to helping his career. What I don't want to see is Smith playing 3rd line minutes in Detroit. He needs a bit more experience. For as gifted as he is, there are people here that would lambaste the guy because he would be a lot like Rafalski. He is a offensive defenseman and can make some mistakes when it comes to pinching in on the boards or trying to make a play.

    Patrick Kane's Mouthguardian

The Mouthguardian? Wasn't that one of the really bad team inspired super-heroes the NHL had Stan Lee create last year?

I want to see this line back together (assuming full health of course), they just dominated whenever they were together in the 2009 playoffs...Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary. Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary Filppula-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi Mursak-Helm-Eaves

I'm not sure if it's true anymore (if not then he's certainly still near the top), but since the lockout he leads the league in playoff goals and points. EDIT: After some more research I'm fairly confident that he's still number one in both categories. Hank is narrowly ahead of Danny Briere, with 94 points to Briere's 93. If Hank is anything, he's The Determinator. He'll win the game! That's what he does! That's ALL he does! You can't stop him!

Well I'm pretty sure the 3rd and 4th lines will be playing equal minutes anyway, so it doesn't matter in the end. You could switch it up and make Homer - Abby - Bert the 4th line instead, but it's not nearly as good defensively as Helm's line. I think that we should keep that first line intact, because it did have that one scoring streak and we REALLY need Hudler to produce at this point. Maybe switch Cleary out with Franzen, but I think we need Z to anchor the second line for sure. If Hudler still ends up sucking on that 1st line, then we can shake it up and throw him on the 3rd. But for starting the season, I think this is a good lineup. Hudler - Datsyuk - Cleary Filppula - Zetterberg - Franzen Mursak - Helm - Eaves Holmstrom/Miller - Abdelkader - Bertuzzi Emmerton Sounds good to me. I would absolutely love to see Hudler play goalie

    Patrick Kane's Mouthguardian

I thought Patrick Kane's mouthguard was Eddie Olczyk's di-- ahh, nevermind. The funny part is that if Kane had gone after Franzen, Mule likely would've turtled. Good thing Patty only goes after old cab drivers.

And hidden by Homer intrigue as well! It's so LGW.

I've been posting almost this exact lineup for months. The only difference being my choices to swap Franzen and Cleary, keeping the Cleary/Z/Hudler line going and also reuniting the Franzen/Abby/Bertuzzi line that seemed to work out pretty well at the end of last year. I suggested Eaves as a possible linemate for Dats a year ago. I was laughed at by pretty much everyone with an "Eaves, huh? Sure, whatever." kind of reaction. And furthermore, I was the first to suggest a Mursak/Helm/Eaves line as a potential for this year. Now everyone has it slated in as a given. Very interesting that so many laugh at me for my posts and then re-post things I had previously stated as good ideas.

    Anyone else a little excited

A defenseman who can time travel to five years ago when he was 26 years old and bring that current form to today? Yes sir! I've been waiting too!

Honestly IMO Homer should have never gotten that 2nd year on his contract. Last year should've been his last.

I'd get rid of Holland for offering Hudler a $15 million dollar contract and keep both Pavs and Hank.

    Bold predictions for the year!

i can see why you might disagree, but that's really not all that bold of a prediction.

Don't you just love when people shout out and claim they were the first to do, say, or be something? When Eaves was on his goal scoring streak last year every one wanted to see him get more ice time and a chance in the top 6. On top of that, claiming you were the first to suggest that Mursak replace Draper on the fourth line is so ridiculous I don't even know what to say to you. Not only is that the obvious choice for a spot in the line up for Mursak but do you also want to claim that if Emmerton was to make the Wings roster that you were the first to suggest he'd be the 14th forward? Oh hey, maybe you were the first to suggest Howard should be the Wings starter or that Lidstrom should QB the first PP unit.

Abby has a higher offensive ceiling than Helm IMO. Also, Helm will likely be better with Eaves and Mursak than Abby.

    Red Wing's Wine

all hockey players like 2 party instead of other sports who roll with gangs, beat there wives up, have dog fights, and shoot themselves in the dick. sure there are some instances where hockey players do dumb s*** but 2 a lesser extent, but way less. if hockey players get in trouble its usually just for partying 2 hard, and we've all been there. idk how i got so off topic there sorry.
