Neither Andersson nor Bowman had any influence in the drafting of Fedorov, Lidstrom, or Konstantinov. Bowman was hired after all three were established players in the league, and Andersson was hired in 1990; while the trio was drafted in 1989. Andersson's job is to scout talent and to recommend which European players to draft first. Given that Holland as a GM prefers to keep home-grown talent, and the team has a large number of European players, this will of course place a large fingerprint from Andersson as well. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen, Filppula, Hudler, Holmstrom, Kronwall, and Ericsson were all Andersson players. But none of them are drafted or stay with the team unless Holland makes the call.

Clear indicator of personal issues. But yeah, let's talk about Filppula. Great start for him so far and will likely get better. Pretty much the most impressive Wing thus far, shift in shift out. He's creating a ton of scoring chances and showing some slick moves. Has anyone noticed, though, that sometimes Franzen is taking the faceoffs when he's out with Flip and Hudler? I'd like to know what's behind that. Especially being that he's 60%+ in faceoffs and Franzen is in the 30s.

Im in no way saying that some suspensions shouldn't occur. But do you really thin Wiz should get 8 games for that? suspended? yes prolly, 8 games? no And instead of suspending everyone, they could just bring the game back to pre lockout, those barely noticeable holds can prevent injuries. I just want hockey 2 be like it was in the 90's.
