If he had the puck and didn't leave his feet, thats a hockey play. He didn't have the puck, and he supermaned into him. That is intent to injure in my mind and Tootoo needs a suspension. I have no idea why i got negged, it seems that people may not like the idea of driving the net with the puck as being a hockey play.

How can you perform well by watching? He just needs to get in the games and make some mistakes as well as some good saves, like he did a little while ago. If all he needed to do was watch Jimmy then any one of us should be able to get in that net and do better than him.

Given how young Helm is, I'd say that Helm is the next Helm.

Ferraro has always got ragged on because everyone thought he was going to be a 30+ goal scorers in the NHL, and after his draft year hes got injured and hasnt done much. A lot of people questioned why the wings gave him a contract so early, but watching him play I can see why. He has absolutely blazing speed, maybe not quite as fast as Helm but hes on a Mursak level for sure. He is physical (probably more consistently physical than Helm) and he can PK really good too because of his speed. He may not be that big scoring winger everyone thought he should be, but for a second round pick and seeing this kid play a lot this season, I think another Darren Helm is waiting in the wings. Hes finding his stride in Grand Rapids and has 8 points in his last 9 games, pretty good off the fourth line. He already has more goals and points than Mursak did in his Grand Rapids rookie year, and is on pace for just about what Helm had in his. I remember one goal he blew around the defenseman and absolutely shelfed the puck, still seems to have that natural finish Helm never has had Hes also not scared to fight a bit, hes not the best fighter but could probably help handle the pests at the NHL level He'll do things like this http://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/107200 , stepping up and protecting the teams best dman. Overall I think we're looking at another Helm type player, maybe a bit more offensive and not quite as amazing on the PK but a guy who will become a fan favourite. He's really impressed me so far with that offensive punch he has given the griffins fourth line. 2nd round pick not wasted

The Sharks. We just can't beat them with this roster, we've shown that already. However our younger guys are starting to put the pieces together and Howard is a goalie who a team can ride to the Cup finals. We need a big physical presence up front, that can grind down the Sharks D and add an offensive presence as well. Who know's if he'd be available or not, but if we got Shane Doan and it didn't involve losing Fil, I'd be 100% confident with us against the Sharks. That's how close I feel we are, a piece or two away.

He wasn't funneled towards Miller. Tootoo took a path that had no other result other than running Miller. And Tootoo has done little in his career to expect a fair fight since he's usually the one throwing punches before the other guy even knows he's in a fight. And Hextall was the king of slashing guys and clobbering them with his blocker a lot more than he ever squared up and fought.

STRONGLY disagree Lucic incident, Miller left his crease, and although Lucic is a tough player, he is generally a clean player and does not have a history of this crap Tootoo is a stain on the game, left his feet AND Miller was entirely in his crease... These situations could not be any more different...

Agreed. It is very much like a Kronwall hit. Honestly though I think the exploding up into hits has been a bad development in hitting style over the years, and something the league may try to curb. Because when you're exploding up into a hit, you're putting your force up towards a guys head, even if your skates are on the ice at the point of contact. It's possible to crush guys without that leaping up. Stevens was the master at it.

I still would rather have Boston over Pittsburgh in the East as I know the Wings relied too much on Jimmy Howard to beat the Bruins last week but I would rather face a Tim Thomas than have to face Pittsburgh b/c they would get screwed in some shape or form against those cry babies. I am still pissed about game 7 2009 as I was at the Joe and watching those crybaby Penguins and their fans invade the Joe and hoist the cup is still a bitter pill to swallow. Getting back to the West I might put the Wild in that category as well but they could be just overachieving. Then you have LA and Nashville who are just pests to deal with but they should handle them if they play the way they are supposed to. But another factor is the play of Zetterberg as in order to win the Cup they need him to have a playoff like 2008 e.g. the Zet of old.
