I understand that this is a polarising signing, but seriously, what are you going to do? Stop supporting the Wings? What if they prove to be steller signings and help win us the cup this year? Don't necessarily think that disliking someone for their past actions should preclude them from doing well in the future and turning a new leaf. Avery wasn't a d*** when he came here, why would you think Tootoo would be? There's still a lot of time to sign free agents and we have a lot of pieces to trade if needs be so we're in a pretty strong position on all fronts - have cap space to sign FAs, have pieces to trade, have depth so that trades don't criple us. I'm still going to support the Wings no matter what and support the players who put on that jersey every night and go out there and give their all to win. If someone does something reprehensible I'll ***** about them letting us down, but if they play good clean hockey and have a real desire to win then I'll love them. Don't knock someone for their past indiscretions, everyone has them and no one wants to be defined by them.

Sammy is a winner, he helped Florida do well this year he was huge in the playoffs for Van a couple of years ago, he was a playoff performer for us when we had him. Welcome back Samuelson Im happy to have you back here, you play at both ends of the ice.

Great day so far. -Inked a potential masked assasin in Brunner for peanuts - the monster has a ton of untapped potential and with Bedard and our Swedish room, and limited playing time I think hell do great -Sammy takes alllot of flack around here ... hes still got game. He had a terrible start last year because he had a severe adductor tear repaired. Big body, decent wheels, heavy shot ... yeah hes streaky, but what euro isnt? -Tootoo - bargain of the day IMO. Imagine him and Adbelkader smashing dmen on the forecheck? Oh, and no more tootoo whistles in Nashville - thank f***! If there was any question that Detroit was serious this off-season management has shown the fanbase and the free-agent pool that they arentf****** around. I would be way more excited if the Wings had signed Pronger (at least a pronger from a few years ago). He's a player who'd sometimes dirty, but is a talented beast of a defenseman. Tootoo is a 4th line plug who gets more noticed for his cheap hits and that stupid whistle.

1. Why sign ANOTHER 35+ guy to a multi-year deal? Especially if health is a concern. 2. Why a no-trade clause????? Enough with these already! (Although, Holland doesn't realize you can actually trade players on your active roster.) 3. Why 3 million dollars per year????????? This guy is on the decline and should not get a raise over his last contract! 4. Why Mikael Fing Samuelsson?????????? I'm assuming this either means the Wings are going all-in for Nash and will need players like Samuelsson to fill roster spots because they're going to gut the roster, or they aren't getting Parise, Semin, or anyone else of any quality at all. Also, I bet this buries Nyquist at Grand Rapids for the year. This is so stupid. I didn't expect much today, but I didn't think I'd get pissed off, either.

People need to relax. Tootoo put up 30 points this past season which is more than anyone in our bottom 6 and hes also a legit tough player that the wings needed. I would have rathered Prust but for the price and role Tootoo is fine. Now that hes sober he isnt that bad. You all chirp him but wait til he runs over a few guys and youll all love him. Solid signing. Tootoo - Helm - Abdelkader is going to be a nasty line

I'd rather have Nash than Pairise. Nash definitely has 50 goal potential... I hope we keep Franzen in this deal. We'll have goal scoters throughout the lineup Sammy, Nash, Franzen and our bottom 6 is quite solid I must say

Not a big fan of the guy. Unless Homer is for sure retiring and he's taking his spot then I guess its ALRIGHT, but if this is any indication of not getting a big name forward then I am one sad, angry, and depressed man. I just think Sammy is all over the place. Holland just lovesssssssss bringing players back that didn't really do anything spectacular the first go around. Long as we get Suter and hopefully Parise , or trade for Ryan or something it wont be as bad. I just cringe at the thought of him saying well we added our "missing pieces" cause this dips*** isn't worth anything to complete the puzzle!

Someone go ask Draper and Maltby to suit up while we're at it. I'm so sick of Holland's fetish for old wing players. I don't even know what line Samuelsson would fit on anymore...
