    Ouellet Debut Tonight

Holy crap that's a thin blueline. You know you're in for a bumpy one when your #1 d-man has 22 games in the NHL and that doesn't make him the least experienced guy on defense.

The really baffling thing is that anybody is confused by the decision to sit your number two , oft-injured, goaltender in favour of giving your number one, solid, net minder a game to to get back before the Sharks. The Wings lost that game for a whole list of reasons and Babs and Jimmy are way down at the very bottom of it.

I'm sorry but two things here. 1. There was no top line winger available, the best options were what we got. 2. Zetterberg is having the best start of his career and Datsyuk has been over a point per game, how exactly do they play better apart?

I was just thinking about some scripture verses from the Bible and though non related to hockey there are too many to count on this.

    Any new Helm Updates?

Looking forward to seeing Helmer back in the lineup. It's kind of sucks that Glendening is getting sent back down. He reminds of Helm. Hopefully we will get to see them together on the same line (I recall Mickey mentioning a few games back that they were planning on doing that).

Yes but wasn't Ericsson paired with Lidstrom a lot during that great stretch? You could put me on the ice in my socks but if I'm paired with Lidstrom I'll probably end up looking ok. Pair me with Quincey and it's a different story.

Brendan Smith might get better but I don't think that he is not replaceable. I say shop him and if good value can be had let him go. Lashoff>Smith

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Alfredsson Bertuzzi - Weiss - Franzen Tatar - Helm - Abdelkader Miller - Andersson - Cleary There's no reason to break up the highly productive line; that second line worked well when it was tried; the third would be able to score; and the 4th would be quite good defensively.

If only he was good at offense. He shows glimpses, but if he'd produce I'd forgive some defensive errors.

What we really need is for Lids to sit him down and punch him in the face, repeatedly.

Best wishes to him. Play the game you love. Retire early enough to enjoy your family. Not a bad life.

[sarcasm] I can not believe this team is not going undefeated GRRRRRRRRR [/sarcasm] Seriously, it is one game against the Coyotes, after just beating arguably the best team in this infant season. Bab's overrated?????? It is hard to be overrated when you are in fact one of, if not, the best coach in the sport. All coaches make decisions that work or don't and judging them purely in hindsight is great for you reactionary, knee jerk, arm chair quarterback post, but in real life, it was one game of 82. Monster has not proven he can take the reigns over, Jimmy has proven he is the netminder of the future, you put him back in because if you don't how else does he go from cold to warm to hot? Much like a call to the Bullpen in baseball, when the player fails to perform it was a bad coaching decision, the player performs and it is his success, not the coach. Oh we beat the Avs with Monster in net and Sammy in the box, lets play the entire rest of the season that way, I mean hey it worked for one game why not all of them, amiright!

If the Wings win the Cup, they'd better add your name to it. You just stacked up enough positive kharma by being good to your woman that not only will Helm be back, but he'll stay back.

LOL Reminds me of that episode of Home Movies where McGuirk is pretending to be a blind psychic. "Does anyone here know someone who died?...." "C'mon, nobody?! Look, its statistically impossible that nobody here knows someone who died!" (I'm paraphrasing)

I really hate to see people taken advantage of when they are most vulnerable. I watched about two minutes of Long Island Medium once. She asks this guy (40-50 years old) if he's ever had a near death experience. Now how many people are gonna be 40-50 years old, look back on their life and say they've never had a near death experience??? Probably close to none. Then the guy proceeds to TELL HER THAT IT HAD TO DO WITH FIRE!!!! What does she say? "Ohh I was gonna say...cuz I felt really warm...must have been a fire!!" and people think this $H*T is real???
