I'll be watching this one at 0.5x speed. You know, so I can follow Helm.

Had to put this one together last minute so I wasn't able to do images for rosters.

I can't believe I used to think he'd be a top pairing guy some day he's playing himself out of the lineup if Big E were healthy, Smith should be the one scratched, not Lashoff

Is that you Ken Holland ?

Honestly, having Helm back on the ice is more exciting then trading for a new player.

Like I keep saying. Helm IS the heart and soul of this team

every time I see Mrazek and his #34 jersey it reminds me of Norm Maracle anyone remember him? every time he'd play someone would inevitably say 'will we see a.... maracle on ice tonight?' heh? heh? maracle? get it? and oh yeah we're up 2-0 now, Go Helm! Go Tatar!

If Helm was really back to form, he would have missed on that breakaway... lol

I'm legitimately thrilled to see Helm return, not because of what he'll do for the team but because I was really concerned about the condition of his back. I was hoping it wouldn't end his career, and seeing him return makes me really happy for him.

Our laziest player out, our spark plug in. I'll take it.

Much like the letter to Fraser, it was mostly just a bunch of butthurt Nucks fans finding an excuse to continue whining about Kassian's suspension. They're insane if they really think those plays are similar.

I am glad he feels happy with TWO good chances.

    Mantha signed to ELC

This contract is subject to the Slide Rule, where it will not officially start until Mantha plays* (see below) for Detroit or Grand Rapids (or any other pro team)... so if he stays in the Q all year, the three years of his deal will be 14/15, 15/16, and 16/17. It will not count against the 50-man limit this year as long as he is not called up. Mantha can stay in the Q with a pro contract. This happens all the time. Frk and Nedomlel were signed last year but stayed in junior. This situation is precisely why players lose NCAA eligibility if they play in the CHL. The NCAA isn't so much concerned with the (small) pay the CHLers receive, but with the fact that amateur players are playing against players already signed to pro contracts. *The Wings could call up Mantha and have him play up to 9 games, then send him back to junior and not have his contract officially start. Recently, the Jets did this with Mark Scheifele. The Flames are contemplating keeping Sean Monahan or returning him to junior. The last Wing I can remember who was in that situation was Martin Lapointe.

He tried to rephrase it so it was more subliminal.

Anyone got odds on the possibility of tomorrows headline being "Helm back to IR with injured lady parts"? Im saying 50/50

Franzen is a shell of his former self, and will not ever be the same again we will see flashes from time to time, but I think it's far too late to expect him to start producing offense at a consistent level if he doesn't get the hint from Z's recent comment, or Babs putting him at center to FORCE him to be more engaged on the ice, then he never will(spoiler- he won't) it reminds me of when the Oilers GM was complaining about Dustin Penner's lackadaisical play after he got his ridiculous contract, and he said something along the lines of, "Penner saw getting this contract as an end point, and he should've seen it as a starting point" that's how I feel Franzen looks at his contract and how much effort he thinks he needs to put in, it's like he's thinking, "Hey I worked hard to get this awesome lifetime contract, now it's time to sit back and watch the money pile up" ok maybe that's a bit much, but y'all get my point; he doesn't feel he has much to play for, he's won a Cup, he's got his money, to him the rest is gravy and the difference between Z's contract and Franzen's contract is Z has passion for the game and loves to go out there and compete and be the best player on the ice, Franzen does not have that passion, except maybe in little tiny bursts
