I would think a settlement is likely. If he's not guilty, she's going to take the settlement and run. If he's guilty, she may well rather end it with something than face a jury and have to recount the most horrific thing that's ever happened to her, knowing that in such a high-profile case people will be glued to every word. If I were in her shoes (assuming he's guilty), I'd take the money. Justice would not be served, but if you find yourself in that situation, sometimes your own peace comes before the greater good. At least he's been exposed and other women will be warned.

Things also tend to get disgusting for the victim in these situations, so while I don't *agree* with her settling if Kane is in fact guilty, I certainly *understand* it.

Ladies and gents, I am about to buy my girlfriend her first Jersey. I've been trying to get her to pick a player, and she is really adamant about getting Abdelkader. Great, I love him, but I don't want to spend the 180$ on a jersey for a guy who might not be with the team next year. I've been trying to talk to her about getting Dekeyser, or Nyquist or Sheahan just because I figure they are guaranteed to be on the team longer. She really wants number 8 though. So my question, what are the odds he resigns? If he doesn't does it really matter? Is it considered poor to wear a jersey for a guy not on the team anymore? Thanks any feedback welcome. Also any recomendations on websites to order from?

Agreed. To me its more about the guy having a love for the game and just wanting to play. I feel bad for him, if he just signed the 3 year deal back in 2013 nobody would even be talking about him. Since he has signed three "1 year" deals he has become vilified by some which is sad.

I don't think it's fair to categorize Cleary as "greedy" or having an ego, since there's no indication of it.

That is the problem : It will never completely go away if he agrees on a settlement. But processes like this tend to get very ugly for the accused weather he or she is guilty or not so it's absolutely understandable if Kane wants to get out of this without the case going to trial.

I'd say it's a 95+ percent chance that Abby resigns next season. I would be absolutely shocked if he signs elsewhere. Not gonna happen.
