Yeah, Stevie Wonder could see he was trying to keep as much depth as possible and make it work money wise, but you can't win em all.I wonder if we'll see him traded now that whatever team acquires him can immediately send him to their AHL team. I read somewhere that would save us around 250k too. Yeah it sucks that he couldn't make a trade, but the dude helped build a repeat champion team, rebuilt it on the fly and won two more, then retooled it and almost repeated again. If kh ever does step down can you imagine what all the entitled empty headed fans will do the first time he hits a rough patch? Or even worse, when he has success? It'll take him twenty years before people stop attributing his success to riding Hollands coattails. But nevertheless, I'm kind of excited to see what kindl can do for grand rapids, he could be one of the ahls best d men. Maybe Todd nelson will get through to him straighten him out and hell gain some confidence down there and it'll help him get back into the NHL. Then again it might go the opposite way, He was already almost at that age where he automatically becomes less appealing/borderline useless in the NHL, now that he's in the AHL where most of the players are 18-25, I wonder how bad he'll look in comparison. I'm genuinely curious to see how he handles himself when he gets pressured down there though. If he can get back to taking hits to make plays, and remember how to use his size to his advantage and get into the habit of playing that way consistently he will be back in the NHL. Ive given up hope on him with the wings, but I think itd be kind of cool to have him as the new veteran leader on d for grand rapids.

Also, unsure if mentioned: One thing to keep in mind is that Kindl clearing waivers could possibly make it EASIER to trade him now on a retained salary deal. New team could place him directly in the AHL which would give them either time to make any moves they want to do in regards to Kindl. ...but I think one of the other problems teams may be running into is their availability of a roster spot in general. More and more we're seeing teams developing their own draft picks and by having to move them around it can mess with their own prospects development. Either way, just something else to chew on while you grind your teeth about how Kindl is still part of the Red Wings organization.
