    What's next for Detroit Red Wings after Luke Witkowski clears waivers? That's word for word the actual title that HSJ put on her article... I can't So not only does she title her garbage article with this moronic question (oh god the guy who only dressed for 30 games last year got waived, what's next?!?!?!?!), but then she doesn't even answer said question GODDAMMIT Maybe it's just cause it's Monday, but I would punch HSJ in her ugly face if I could. Oh and completely unrelated: Helene St. James Named Michigan Sports Writer Of The Year (2017) HSJ is lazy and she sucks Rant over.

    No. It's average at best.

    Maybe. Yes. I'd also like to add that Andersson is being used as bit of a punch line here but he was a big part of a team that upset the Ducks in 2013 and took Chicago to game 7 OT. He centered Brunner and Nyquist and "looked after them" (Babcock). Then he became less useful and then he was gone. I'd like the Wings to burn through their bottom six forwards a little more moving forward. Forget veteran loyalty and prospect pedigree. If a kid has a good camp and fills a need, give him a spot. Then use him up, and cast him away lol.

    They will likely go with a 23-man roster. Whether Svechnikov is injured or not, doesn't change that, unless he's out long term (LTIR), which I doubt. It's looking like we will see something like this on opening night... Bertuzzi - Larkin - Mantha Rasmussen - Nielsen - Nyquist Vanek - Athanasiou - Helm / Abdelkader Svechnikov / Ehn - Glendening - Helm / Abdelkader Svechnikov / Ehn - Frk The defense is still up in the air, due to so much uncertainty to health. But by the sounds of it, we could be without at least 2, maybe 4 of Green, Daley, Kronwall and Ericsson... We could see something like this on opening night... DeKeyser - Cholowski Sulak - Hronek Hicketts - Jensen ... which is exciting and scary...

    Bold: I strongly disagree. Chili Peppers were great in their day. Same goes for Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, etc. U2, not so much in my opinion...

    Like many bands - they do not age well over time. Early U2 was great...Their past few albums - meh. Red Hot Chilli Peppers is another example - 80's to early 90's was great, but right on queue - once they got 'mainstream' they took a heaping dump. Many others out there just like the 2 I mentioned above.

    Call them whatever you want, they are arguably the greatest rock band of the last 40 years. LOL. In an industry dominated by a very narrow line of thinking with little tolerance for differing viewpoints, what do you expect? Outside the studio, U2 has been involved in a lot of social and political issues for sure, but they have been very apolitical in their music since the late 80s. Now to get this thread back on track, I dedicate this song to my boy Jimmy Howard... Your hands are tired ....Your body bruised.... He's got me with.....Nothing to wiiiinnnn and.....Nothing left to looo-hoooose...... And you give your goals awaaay...And you give your goals away-hay.....And you give...and you give...And you give your goals away-yay.....With or Without Youuuu......With or Without You, OOOOHHHH.........I can't win.............With or Withouout Youuuuuuu............

    Ehn impressed me relative to expectations, only because they were pretty much nonexistent. I'm not sure Ehn will ever be any better than a Andersson / Emmerton though. I would have preferred Turgeon get that spot, but whatever. I'm not too concerned about that 12th/13th forward spot. It is nice to see management make the decision to waive cement knuckles over the younger, more skilled Ehn though.

    Eh, It's probably a moot point anyway, as I have a hard time seeing Blashill sticking all three of our veteran grinders on the same line and then giving that line paltry fourth-line minutes.

    Howard = Average

    Love or hate Howard, it would be a smart move to trade him this season and acquire assets. Assuming he puts together another decent season, and a team is in need of a goalie at or before the deadline... Bernier is a capable starter for a non-playoff team. Much like Howard, he's not going to win or lose many games on his own, but he'll keep his team in most games, which is all you want as a bottom third of the league team. I think Sateri could be a viable backup options as well. If we can trade Jimmy for a 2nd, or even 3rd round pick by mid-season, I think you'd be foolish not to...

    Howard = Average

    Wow.... WOW! We want to start throwing the blame down range at Jimmy? Open your eyes. Howard has been the one keeping us from getting screwed 6-0 every game. We wouldn't have won a single game without Jimmy, plain and simple. You're right, you know all those breakaways, the penalty shot last night, all those 5 on 3's, all those PK'ers... you're right, he certainly hasn't been there... /sarcasm Please, if it wasn't for Howard, we would be getting DESTROYED. The past two games is simply because of his workload, go try and play consecutive games knowing that there isn't an option to save your ass. There's a reason why Babcock has been playing him consecutively, we NEED him. Unfortunately, I completely agree that Mrazek should've played last night, even if it was after the 4th goal and was simply the last 4/5 minutes. Then again, you don't want to throw your goalie in there only to get lit up for 5 minutes and have absolutely no confidence.
