Is Mrazek starting this one for the Whalers?

NO! Holland had nothing to do with the team's success, only the failures / shortcomings. Are you new here?...

    2018 Prospects Watch

If we end up drafting 2nd overall and there's a significant drop off between the 2nd and 3rd ranked prospects, then sure, take BPA. But if they're relatively close, go with need. I know this team needs to upgrade pretty much every position, but we do have a surplus of left-shot wingers. I'd prefer the big right-shot forward or defenseman over the left-shot winger. I think we're going to win the draft lottery though, so it's a moot point...

Smith had a lot of talent but it was coupled with a peanut sized brain for hockey. By most accounts Cholowski has good sense and a high hockey IQ, I ain't worried.

I'm one of those people... But I'm okay with adding another left-handed winger if he's "elite" or a "franchise changing" winger. Hughes on Larkin's wing would be unreal. I'm not as worried about our center position, because I believe Larkin / Veleno will be a very solid 1-2 punch down the middle.

"He's a Hall-of-Fame GM. I think they'll wait for the right time. "Eventually, I believe (Yzerman) will be here." "Me guessing, yeah, I think it's inevitable that at some point in time he will be here," said Osgood, adding he hasn't talked to Yzerman about his plans.

I hear Mantha's had the same start to the season as Stu Grimson back in 1992

Michigan beat Michigan State, Red Wings won a game, life is good.

Another penalty killed. Butt is tightly clenched. Might as well be Game 7 of the SCF. Mom's spaghetti.

I'm bummed that when Mike Green and Dekeyser get healthy that you're likely going to see both Hronek and Jensen out of the lineup. I think Nick Jensen has looked really good so far this season. He was asked to play way above his head for about 4 games and did as well as could reasonably be expected.

Because it was a stupid question. Ken Campbell just looking to stir the pot and get some traffic. Holland should've asked him if he was worried Bob Duff was going to take his job at THN.

Please post only positive thoughts about our great coach Only 15 goals allowed in the last 2 games is pretty good for sucha young D core. When big man Ericsson gets back all those goals against will dry up. We just have to be patient. I'll be the first to say it, Rasmussen needed to be sat. His shot just hasn't been right-handed enough, or as wide of the net as Frk's. He needs to work on this. I'm also really diggin the subtle new look this year... the checkered shirts really add a splash of color to his look and the thick dark frames speak to my hip fashion sense as a millennial. The new look says: I recycle, I eat cruelty free poultry, I don't need meanie fighters like Witkowski, AHL kids are cool on my team. Lovin' it. Anyway, keep it positive and upbeat, and send Blash your good vibes. LGRW

I'm positive he'll get himself a job somewhere else. But here, now, enough is enough. He's tried different assistants, to no avail. He's not horrible, but he is just not NHL caliber. Not sure if I can be more positive than that.

Well, back then all the best players were spread out over only six teams. Now you have them spread out over more teams. You don't see teams anymore with 5 or 6 Hall of Famers on one roster. I don't think that era was lacking talent at all. There were fewer teams on which the latent was spread over. The Wings alone had Howe, Lindsay, Sawchuk, Abel, Delvecchio, Kelly, and Pronovost. Now those players would likely play on six separate teams.
