    This. Spring time...Fresh air, sunlight, warm weather...Rejuvenation. Since the early 90's one thing you could count on was Detroit making the playoffs...I still enjoy spring, and hockey playoffs, but it's not the same when the Wings aren't in it.

    Back when this team was good, I couldn't wait for the playoffs to start. The last month of the season was a bore. That first week of the playoffs was so exciting. I remember at school or work I'd always think about the upcoming evening's game. Hard to believe it's been three years since that feeling. Now we're excited about a draft where we can draft some young punk nobody but scouts has ever seen play.

    Personally? Pretty nervous, tbh. Or maybe "anxious" is a better word. I'd be way more nervous/anxious if we were in danger of being bumped out of a bottom-two spot. It's a very real possibility. End of 2nd. Wings trail 1-5. Choosing to lay this long-overdue egg on Fan Appreciation Night is top-tier trolling. Well played, Red Wings, well played. We just need to go on a run here.

    I'm hoping it's just taken him this long to totally recover from the broken hand and that if he stops breaking his hands he'll play like this all the time. Not looking good for the Habs right now.

    I make spreadsheets and then I make cool pirate hats out of the spreadsheets. Then at the end of the season Ken Holland calls me and asks for my general thoughts and I tell him, "Yarr, you best be signing Hossa, lest you end up in Davy Jones's locker," and he hangs up. Man, Wings have totally phoned it in tonight. It's almost impressive.

    GO WOLVES!! We probably drew the toughest team in Round 2 in Ottawa, lost the first game 8-5. Luukkonen was not himself in goal last night, and once he was pulled, it was over cause our backup sucks. But DiPietro had a rough night for Ottawa too. Gonna be a good series.

    Nielsen? Possibly. Abby? No. He wears an "A". And he wears it for a reason. Regardless of who the GM is, he's not getting bought out. In 4 years, with salary inflation, his contract wont be out of line with what 3rd liners make. No reason to buy him out then.

    It's amazing that he has four years left on his contract and he's 32 and already sucks. I'd buy out the GM who offered him that contract. As I've said before, I've been trying to trade him all year on NHL 19 and every team tells me something along the lines of "we're not interested in taking on Justin Abdelkader's contract". Thanks Kenny.
