He's a legend no doubt but that's a legit hard two cups and a soft third one. Just a reminder that we don't always know what we're talking about around these parts. Stay humble LGWs

He wore 56 his first call up after Larry Murphy roomed with him while on a road trip. Pavs initially thought Murphs was cool, but saw his diet and told Larry he would rather watch cows deficate than watch Larry eat. He then changed his number to 13 after he saw Brendan Shanahan fingering Larry Murphy's wife under the hotel bar while heading to the gym for a midnight workout. They both winked at each other and Pavs knew Shanny was the man.

Where did Pronman say he "never bothered to scout" Seider? I'm genuinely unfamiliar with that piece of info. According to this article (by Pronman) it sure seems like he scouted him. "Moritz Seider, RHD, Detroit Seider was a unique evaluation in 2019. He played in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), not a league many were used to contextualizing top-10 picks in at the time. His club in Mannheim was very strong, and he didn’t receive a ton of ice time or power-play opportunity. You still saw this huge, mobile, competitive defenseman with some puck game and it was clear he was a very good prospect. Whether he had the offensive upside to be a true top-end prospect was the question for myself and a lot of NHL scouts. I rated him as a mid-first-rounder. There probably wasn’t the evidence at the time to support what he’s done offensively since then, but there was evidence to suggest he was going to be an excellent two-way defenseman. Seider went to the U20 B pool that winter and was the clear best defenseman, helping elevate Germany to the A pool. Even that, while impressive, is not usually indicative of an elite prospect. His world championship was different. He showed up for Germany versus some of the best players in the world and didn’t look like a fish out of water. It was around that time I started to hear from NHL scouts that this player was for real, and it was here that I erred in not valuing how good he looked for a U18 defenseman at arguably the second-highest level behind the NHL. I don’t think I would with that information have moved him up to a top-five range as he’d go now in a redraft, but he should have been rated as a very reasonable top-10 pick." https://theathletic.com/2952636/2021/11/16/pronman-nhl-prospects-i-was-wrong-about-the-2021-22-edition/

Back on topic of the off-season. McIsaac nor Veleno have wiaver exemptions left. Veleno was always going to be in Detroit, but McIsaac is an interesting story. If you doesn't make the club, does Yzerman risk waiving him to GR? Does someone pick him up considering he is young, his potential and small salary? I'm not for losing someone for nothing unless they've already proven they aren't going to make it basically or am just tired of the ineptness, ie. Zadina. With this current D Corps, plus the prospects who are ranked ahead of him, it's gonna be a hard task to make the club. Hopefully Yzerman has a trade ready soon. I'd hate to lose him for zilch. I think that was just Development Camp since Luff obviously would not be there. I guess we'll see when Training Camp Rosters are sent out! BTW, I wonder who this years invitees will be? Always have to root for an underdog to get a contract! Also, I wonder if there will be any PTO's?

Ok, figured out Dats' #56. He wore it during 2001 training camp, then obviously switched to 13 to start the season. Here's a list of players at 2001 camp. Pavel is #56 and there's no #13. http://www.griffinscentral.com/hist/camp01.html And here shows that he was not at the 2000 camp. http://www.griffinscentral.com/hist/camp00.html

    Phil Kessel Traded to Penguins

Since being traded from the Leafs Phil has 3 cups, has become the NHL ironman. All on a diet of hotdogs, gambling, and call of duty. Beautiful family too. Is Phil the most chad player of all time? Stay blessed Phil.

Furthermore, I admit I do have a chip on my shoulder about the athletic. Since they came into being hockey fans have treated them like the experts on hockey. Whoaaaa you have to pay for their opinions. It's exclusive. These guys are the top ****. They're not. They're the same as any other r-slurred journalist - they're just using a new revenue stream. I probably watch more obscure footage of hockey than these journos - writing a story that is manipulated to get clicks (which they absolutely do in the business) - do. And there's many more online hockey nerds who watch way more than me. This will irk me less when fans stop treating the athletic like gospel. You can find better content on forums if you know where to look and know how to sift through numbskulls and real observers...
