Under a mil? Brilliant. Lots of room for other moves

Khan says it's official as well: http://www.mlive.com...ne-year_co.html

If true, I love this signing. Conks should be able to handle at least 20 games for us this year and give Jimmy a break.

6 Million left if he is taking a million.

I said before that I actually wanted to see Larsson play in the NHL, so I am disappointed by that. But Conklin was choice four for me. Osgood, Larsson, Volkoun, Conklin. I am by no means mad, and I am sure he will do fine as long as Howard is healthy.

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

Great news! A reliable backup for dirt cheap! And plenty of cap space left. Bravo Kenny

People are acting like he should have got more then $1 mill?

What do you guys expect for a back up who hasn't been signed 3 weeks into free agency o.0

Excellent! Once in a while we get a goalie who can actually stop pucks any goalie should stop. With Jimmy Howard any soft wrister from the blue line could be a goal. Last time I had such good feeling was in 2008 when... Ty Concklin played for us.
Sweet. This dude was brought here for one reason, to punch people in the head - every other thing that he can do, other Wings can do better. I like that we have a head-puncher. The league has other, better head-punchers, but this one is ours. Better than nothing. Good work, Kenny!

Sweet. Hopefully he plays as well as he did before.

Not at all.

I always feel nervous when someone fires a shot at Jimmy. I can only imagine what players feel. If I were a Red Wings player I wouldn't believe Jimmy at all.

Did you watch the playoffs this past season? That Jimmy Howard fellow played pretty good in them.

And  to re-signing Conklin if it is true.

He's a great backup. Nicely done, Kenny!

Very good signing. He'll fit very well on our team and should keep Howard rested for the playoffs.
