MTU_Huskies963 398 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) What the hell is up with this whole force thing, people are defending no suspension for palat because the hit is with less force than kronwall's?! It's a hit to the head, so now you can hit someone in the head but with less force? Bravo NHL I expect no better wording from a league that uses the word charging to define the penalty of charging... MTU_Huskies963 398 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 toby, its not about Kronwall and the hit, which was to the head and he left his feet, its more about Palat, Garrison not getting suspended for literally the same thing. Even Shaw on Jackman, I don't give two s***s about Chicago or St. Louis, but its about the NHL being a joke. If none of those hits were not suspension worthy, then neither should Kronwall... It really baffles me because they are in a lawsuit with former players about head injuries. Not a good image to say we are trying to eliminate illegal hits to the head, and many go unpunished. If I'm the former players I would go through each one of these and make hours and hours of footage. Seriously it's only a matter of time before someone takes a shot to the head from a sucker punch and sues the league.
91forever 8 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 What about all the charging that's taken place and the full contact with Mrazek in this series? Just because the goalies have all that padding doesn't stop concussions when your crashed into by a solid body traveling at 15km hour with 200lbs plus slamming into you. amato 3,210 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Yup, woke up and still mad about this.. tweeters of LGW, let's get #freekronwall trending Any word yet on if it's kindl or marchenko replacing him tonight?
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 One day later and still pissed might not even watch the game now. NSSL = national super sissies league For the love of god bring in McKee and give them a reason for suspension. Kudos to Tampa they didn't even cry about it this bulls*** league needs to be run by real men instead of ******* idiots
derblaueClaus 1,668 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Just watched the explanation video of the DoPS, and the suspension still makes no sense to me. Kronwall never leaves his feet completely and makes exactly three strides before hitting Kucherov. I don't see that this is charging at all. Besides, you don't suspend a player for a hit that may or may not be dirty for a Game 7. You just don't. 2 nyqvististhefuture and Hossa4Life reacted to this
Rhah 195 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 I can only come to two conclusions about league office and DoPS. 1. They are either the biggest group of irrational, illogical, and inconsistent Ivory Tower jerks that there ever was. 2. Or, they actually don't even watch all the games and rely only on headlines (or interns) to notify them about stuff that is trending and they are basically spineless robots controlled by their marketing office. 1 Rick D reacted to this
zackisonfire 16 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Gotta keep hockey in Florida going.... or something The fact that Palat doesn't even get a call, is bulls***. Leaves his feet, targets the head. I would have been fine with a Kronwall suspension if Palat was out too. 3 Hossa4Life, TheXym and nyqvististhefuture reacted to this
Ram 240 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 In reality, will it be Marchenko or Kindl in tonight? Kindl hasn't played a game in a while but is left-handed fill in for Kronner. Marchenko played well to begin but then was taken out, reasonably, for Smith. My pipe dream is Kindl and Marchenko both in and Zid out, who has had a few poor games in a row. 1 Legendary D In 03 reacted to this
cr00d 26 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 1. No penalty on the play 2. No injury on the play 3. No history of prior suspensions or fines 4. Skate on the ice at impact, elbow tucked in, primary point of impact just below the head When you look at all the facts, it's pretty clear why they suspended him. 3 number9, Izzy24 and LasVegasRocks reacted to this
amato 3,210 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Its believed, the last player to receive a league suspension for a Game 7 was Torontos Shayne Corson in a 2002. In Game 6, the Maple Leafs tough guy kicked New York Islanders defenseman Eric Cairns at the end of a fight. http://redwings.nhl.com/club/m_news.htm?id=765654
cr00d 26 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 "What causes this infraction to rise to the level of supplemental discipline is the force to which the hit was delivered..." Just don't hit him as hard next time, Kronner. You silly man, you. 1 number9 reacted to this

zackisonfire 16 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 The Habs are already my second favorite team. I'd bet good money Subban throws 5+ hits that are worse than this, and won't receive a god damn thing for it. 1 LasVegasRocks reacted to this

Y19 2,488 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Just dropping by to add my voice to the Kronwall situation. I never figured that the DoPS would do this because of their "history" of taking no action for very suspension worthy hits during the playoffs. Now they are going to make an example of Kronwall for a game 7 on a borderline hit at best? They're going out of their way to prove they police the playoffs like they do the regular season when anyone with functioning eyes can see that isn't true. derblaueClaus 1,668 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 I'm guessing the pairings tonight go DD-Quincey Ericcson-Marchenko Zidlicky-Smith Mabye. But if DeKeyser finds his Game 1 and two form I'd rather have DD-Ericsson Quincy-Marchenko Zidlicky-Smith Ericsson had a decent series so far, so if DD can step up I'd leave him on the first line. That's what I was thinking And if we have to dress marchenko and kindl I'd rather just say f*** it and jet ouellets ass to game 7 ... No way do I want 2 guys who haven't been playing games in the lineup Dekeyser Ericsson Quincey ouellet Marchenko smith But I agree most likely scenario will be your lines but if kindl plays as well and is paired with smith were in deep f***en s*** Edited April 29, 2015 by nyqvististhefuture
