#2448913 fedorov confirmed for wc alumni game

What stopped ya?

I'm glad you asked. While I would love to say that it was my strong moral foundation, I believe it was because she was sitting with his parents and I didn't trust my aim. I wanted none of that stern ass Viktor Fedorov action.

Well, I mean, isn't that sort of the way it works in this league? Fail, steal underpants, get coveted draft picks, profit! (See: Blackhawks, Penguins.)

*runs in*

Did someone say we're stealing underpants?

BoS Fedorov Fact #2: During the 97/98 season, I once STRONGLY considered throwing gum in Anna Kournikova's hair at a game. She was wearing a lavender jacket. Not my finest moment.

I keep coming back into this thread to see if this is real life. And then I smile and squeal like a fangirl.

BoS Fedorov Fact #1: I slept with the Nike White Russian poster above my bed for 6 years. I ripped it down the day I found out he left the Wings. I later regretted that decision, and bought another one on eBay. It has remained rolled up in a poster tube in my old closet at my mom's house since that time.

WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!11111111!!!!!!!!11!!1!

He's righting all the ships. He's going to play in a CSKA jersey and a Red Wings jersey this year. I feel like all is right with the world.

Note the Red Wing in the pic. Note who it is and what he's doing.

Without looking, I'm going to say...

Flip had all the time and opportunities and resources in the world to prove he was an essential part of this team going forward. But he disappointed, season after season after season. Many - if not most - nights he was practically invisible. Potential's great, but at some point you have to deliver, and he hadn't delivered in line with what he was demanding in coin and term.

"Yeah, but there was that one season!"

OK, great. There was that one season - which, sort of strangely, wasn't his contract year. Which sort of makes you wonder. Maybe Flip wasn't especially happy here. As opposed to this notion that he was carrying the team on his back and would've played for free if it meant staying a Detroit Red Wing, but no, we kicked him out the door as hard as we possibly could and said NEVER COME BACK, cold as that.

As for Weiss - I've said it before and I'll say it again: I've seen my fair share of Panthers hockey, and my humble assessment of Weiss - before we were even talking about him here as a possible Flip replacement - was, and remains, this: he's good. Really good. He's having a hard time adjusting to a new system and getting back into the swing of things after having missed a lot of time due to surgery. Ultimately, he's going to be good for us. I really have no good reason to believe otherwise. And, come on, Zetterberg's never had a cold streak?

STOP THAT. I'm agreeing with you way too much today. Say something provocative!

Swap Tatar and Cleary in that set up and I won't cry too hard.

Need another goal. Like soon. Can't be counting on Williams to bail them out all night.

No worries. Jimmy Williams knows how to position the number 35 car to protect the end zone and keep the other team from scoring home run baskets.

Just a sidenote, those are not my graphics, those are from HFBoards. I apologize for being MIA lately, I've had a lot to deal with personally as of late.

Hope everything's ok.

LGW!

I still think the stuff on the shoulders looks like semen, though.
