Pound for Pound there is, was and will never be another Vladdy. Period. Kronwall hits like a girl compared to Vladdy. And that's a compliment to Kronwall, I am sure he'd accept it. I would hate to see the "NEW" NHL officiating pick him apart, because you know they would!

Oh man... It would have been ugly. At the height of Eric Lindros' career... he was afraid of Vladdy. I remember interviews with Lindros where he would describe Vladdy as a "red blur in the neutral zone". The guy had enough skill to be a seamless cog in the Russian 5 and was a freak of nature throwback. He was one of a kind and his likes may never again be seen in the NHL.

Am I the only one who slightly disagrees with the argument that Osgood's success is a result of the Wings solid play, and that he sucked in St. Louis and New York?

Keep Tuzzi and Lilja. Byebye Lebda. Meech can stay or go. I'm neutral. Hope to see Eaves and/or Miller stay, but not sure it will be possible to keep both. Beyond that, I trust mine team to Doctor Holland.

That's why I love forums. Guy scores 40 goals in the season, leads the team. We lose game 7 overtime of the Stanley Cup Finals, and people talk s*** Sure, lets blame it all on Hossa He's been to the finals 3 times in a row. No Detroit player can lay claim to that What if we had made it to the finals this year....and lost. Guess we'd have to pick someone else to blame Sure, hes been a poor playoff performer the last few years. But he's in the finals again, and all of our "playoff performers".....are playing nhl 2010 on their playstations.

1. Leino was released in order to free up cap/roster for Franzen's return. 2. Holmstrom is a specialist that is the very best at what he does. 3. He can still score goals, 25 goals for under 2 million is an absolutely great deal. 4. You can not pay too much for a player like Lidstrom, especially when you aren't talking 8-10 million. Before last year I was in the same boat as you, I didn't think Homer had a place in the top 6 due to his skating ability. But he clearly proved me wrong last year on his way to being the second leading scorer. Lastly Steve Yzerman over Ken Holland? Damn I've probably replied to a troll. Oh well.

He was supposed to fill the void left via free agency and was banged up ALL season long ... so his play was more under the microscope than in past seasons ... a healthy cleary is a goal scoring cleary
