You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. The trade looks as good today as it did the day it happened. You should have used the time that Kenny has given you to come to grips with the painfully obvious fact that we weren't going to be able to keep everyone. But, then again, he may clear waivers. How about we not judge Modano after only a handful of preseason shifts. He's not here to be dominant. He's not here to be a leader. He's not expected to be the face of the franchise. He's just here to play third line center. Seriously, enjoy the luxury of having so much depth that we can afford to part with a decent prospect.

Good we don't need a useless plug on the 4th line. There is no room for a one dimensional enforcer in today's game, especially on the Red Wings. Our powerplay is our enforcer.

Downey is a class act, what a great guy. hard worker, tough as nails, always willing to help teammates. Good luck Downey wish you the best!

The zetterberg shoulder injury would not have happend if the wings had a respectable physical player that could fight. Öhlund wouldn't have hit him that hard in that vunerable position if he knew he would get his ass kicked afterwards. And Laraque wouldn't have stretched his leg out for the obvious dangerous play either, he knew he would get away with it.. he got a minor suspension that's all.

Maybe kenny doesn't see what we do, that some teams take liberties on the wings when not carrying a respectable enforcer, brad may of last season didnt really count and now we don't have anyone, as BBTBB said, expect more of the orpik-kneeing-franzen stuff...teams can do whatever they want because they know no one will beat them up.

Yeah and Konstantinov wasn't a motivation in 98 either, they just wanted to win the cup to begin with A 39 year old throwing his body on the line and doing anything to win his first cup would be a pretty big motivation I'm sure, do you think before you type?

if you can afford it, get it. i was able to get it for free last year due to the dispute between versus and directv. it was amazing. i was able to see most of the wings games (i did have to miss the ones on versus because of the fight) but i would say i was able to watch at least 75 games. most were in HD as well. there were a few times where i would have to watch the other feed and not get ken and mick, but that was pretty sparse. additionally, its really nice knowing that pretty much every night you can come home and turn on some hockey. as someone that loves watching any hockey, it would be nice to have it on as i was working on things. even it if was the thrashers and panthers, it was still hockey. there are lots of ways to get it cheaper or free online, but IMO center ice is well worth it. even if you just want to watch wings games it only ends up being 2 bucks a game.

Eh, I can't say I like it. Miller is as good as he will ever be, which, really isn't THAT good. We already have a ton of players who do exactly what he deos; Eaves, Helm, Abby, Draper. I'll be honest, I have never seen much of Ritola, but my understanding is that his upside and potential is way higher than Miller's ever will be. I also thought that he was have a strong, hard working preseason. Oh well.

I bet you cried the day that they took the negative option away from the ratings. Such posts as yours cry for that sort of attention, and now we find ourselves with little recourse other than to either ignore you or actually waste bandwidth in responding. I'll throw the bone today because I'm bored. Lilja will be missed. I'm not saying Salei won't do a good job; I'm sure he will. But rest assured, Lilja will be missed by many. Thanks for reminding us that you're still with us.
