I heard the Wings will only play 41 games this season, that's why they have so much time between games. Apparently this is a new idea by commissioner Gary Bettman to try and create more "parity" throughout the league.

Yeah, that sounds like something an old person would say. "Back in my day, we had RESPECT! None of these kids have RESPECT anymore!"

I are hate Wings. Obnoxious Detroit buys Modano when him cleerly wanted to stay at other home Dallas. Detroit buys Cup's (sic) to be arrogant. They only ever winned 11 cup's despite their best friend Gary Beetman giving them four while not promoting true NHL Stars like Sidney Crosby and Mark Fistric. Gary Beetman holds back the others great teams by giving the Dead Wings all the calls. I hate Detroit fans because they are mean winners. They should be quiet and let real fans like in Dallas be heard. "I tried to capture the spirit of the thing." --Dickie Dunn

    Goaltender interference? Nah.

If anyone ever wants to see Homer laugh and cry at the same time, try showing him a video of that Orr "goal".

    Goaltender interference? Nah.

Yep, and he never gets called, has made a career out of cheating and the refs always favor the wings and kronwall is the dirtiest player in the league and the wings are the yankees and the fans dont know anything and modano screwed dallas over by not coming back and i hate the 2002 team and theyre too old to make the playoffs and bertuzzi is satan and little ceasars is poison and detroit cant sell cars and dr. rahmani sucks at lasik!!1!

Mike Babcock puts third line on notice

You act like you are reading his mind when he set up these lines. It looks to me like he just put the 6 best players in the top 6. It's up to Hudler/Cleary/Modano to produce, they aren't going to get a promotion for being awful...

    Goaltender interference? Nah.

I want Homer to skate up to Bryzgalov tomorrow night, look like he's about to knock him over just like Orr, and then gently tap Bryz on the shoulder. The resulting goalie interference penalty will give us all the proof we need. Muah ha ha.

Yeah, because I hate all tough players. I simply hate Chris Pronger because he is a cheapshotting *******. In all honesty the only reason I seem to be so negative towards "tough guys" is because I have to point out the delusion posters like you have that having a "tough game" automatically makes you better than another guy. Colby Armstrong does not become good simply because you misconstrued his undisciplined play for "sandpaper aggressiveness that this team needs."

Having seen your profile picture before, I'm surprised that he chose to go to your house, considering that he prefers less than appealing women to hang out with.

I don't know whats worse - Chicago repeating or Kane being in your kitchen. Did he mug you for a cookie or something?

Pronger and his drama filled, atomic elbowing, contract can stay the hell away from this team.

Entirely way too subjective and needs to be viewed on a case-by-case basis of hard hits. Both sports are tough in their own ways and anybody dogging on either sport or their athletes in general are acting pretty obnoxious.

Are hockey hits harder than football hits?

Case by case basis. WAY too many variables to actually make a descision either way. I don't care who you are, unless you have played both sports in a pro setting, your anecdotal evidence is useless and biased. Football has a lot of weak wrap up hits, but not every hockey hit, is a Kronwall meets Havlat, and us as wing's fans should know that better than anyone. I'm sorry, but you either flat out just made that up or are at the very least misconstruing the point made by generalizing them as "13 year old players" vs "college football players", thus missing the whole point. Something like that may have been studied, but without seeing the size of the said "13 year olds" and the type of collision the "college football players" are throwing, what you posted is essentially useless fan talk. I'm sure a good tripple a 13 year old player can board a guy harder than a defensive linemen can wrap up a quarterback, but there is absoloutly no way that the hardest hits the average 13 year old throws is equal to that of a safetey smoking an unsuspecting reciever. Of saftey's and corner's maybe. Of the 6'1 250 sub-10% bodyfat of Ray Lewis no ******* way. Considering it was either completely fabricated or grossly misconstrued, I can see why. 30 MPH? Really? For an average hit?
