good day but bad night....

Just when I thought America's educational system was failing its youth - thankfully a Canadian comes along and shows me that it's universal. All North American schools suck, apparently. "Text speak" is not acceptable. Plain and simple. Your post was damn near impossible to read. The "abbreviations" and the flat out misspellings make your writing unbearable. I'm not trying to be the grammar nazi, but seriously. -

Your post was just plain rude... To suggest a spell checker is one thing to make fun of someones educational background is another entirely. Heaven forbid someone inconveniences you with their grammar and spelling. I am pretty sure no where in the forum rules does it say that only those with solid writing skills are allowed to post. -

If you wish to enjoy your stay here I would stick with the former part of your post rather than the latter. Trying to dog a franchise that has won more cups in the past 10 years than yours has in its entire history is silly. -

Those paying attention to the Blues could see this coming over the past couple seasons...and then they added Halak without losing anyone from their NHL roster, which instantly made them significantly better. Great goaltending...solid system on defense...great transition game. And they just won in Boston and beat the Rangers in NY in back to back nights without their best offensive threat (Perron) and half of their defensive corps (Polak, Carlo, Jackman)...all our out with injuries. Really, the only thing they need to work on is the power play, which has been pretty bad. If they could get that on track a bit, they'd be dominant. Davis Payne has done a great job since taking over last year. They've won 12 games in a row at home dating back to last season and of course are 9-1-2 so far this year, and currently #1 overall in the NHL. Blues teams have always been known for working their asses off...and this team is no different. They work hard, and it is paying off. Hard work doesn't go into a slump. But I can't see them keeping up this pace without either the power play improving, or them scoring more 5 on 5 goals. They can't keep winning games 1-0 and 2-1...or at least I don't think they can. Who? -

One great season? I guess you forgot we took you to the WCF the year before. Maybe thats not a great seasn for the mighty Wings, but for us, that was a nice season. Point is, the Hawks will have to adjust, but they will not struggle all season long, not once we build some cemistry with the new guys. You just want to hate so bad and are so upset we won the cup you will try to disect every little loss, and call every win "lucky". Its just you being bitter that we ar no longer the laughing stock of the West. Simply put, two years ago you didnt care at all about the "s***ty" Hawks, now you cant stop talking about them. -

Dave Lewis to coach Ukraine

Good for coach Lewis, although with his curiously shaped mustache, coaching Germany would generate way more lulz. -
1 pointI sure hope the Wings take the Blues more seriously than LGW does. They're a young team with a good deal of balanced talent. They don't have any superstars to lean on, but they also don't have any salary greater than McDonald's 4.7M eating into their cap. Instead they succeed not on pure talent, but hard work and they get it from everyone on the ice. I don't care who's on your roster, if you have all 18 guys on the ice playing balls-to-the-wall hockey and working on the same page for 60 minutes you're gonna win games. They also have 3M in capspace for any glaring issues that might pop up between now and February. This team is legit and we're likely to verse them in the playoffs. Hopefully by then they'll have a little more respect and be taken a little more seriously.

Give 'em some time, they'll f*** it all up. If their fans are cheering their team on now, in a few months they'll be back to their team playing against non-Red Wing teams cheering "Red Wings suck". -

Hot goalie. Haven't really been paying attention to St.Louis, but they don't seem to score much, or get scored on much. Once the goalie cools off, their winning record will fade. -

11/6 GDT: Red Wings 4 at Canucks 6
Vladifan reacted to Doc Holliday for a post in a topic
You aren't fooling anyone, here. Please let me know when a player states that. So what if he doesn't fight? Is every player that hits required to fight? I guess Kronwall is a ***** too since he doesn't fight after his hits either. Samuelsson was an agitator who dove on a consistent basis and fought with his gloves on. Franzen can't fight at all but he at least has obliged on occassion and has defended his captain as well. How do you suppose he does that? Hit more? Be more aggressive in front? Wait a minute, he does those two things already. What nonsense? He's been doing fine. He doesn't need to meet all of your ridiculous expectations. -

I don't think we 'took the night off' at all. The first two periods were fantastic, fast paced hockey. The back to back games is what killed us, because in the third it was very noticeable that we completely just slowed down, especially in the defensive zone. -
