How is this even a topic of discussion? If you're going to start picking apart the team this early in the season, at least stick to the guys making double or triple Bertuzzi's salary who also haven't done jack s*** so far.

Datsyuk needs some top 6 talent with him. He's 33 now he can't do it all alone everytime.

Everyone else in the entire league thinks that: a) Holmstrom is old, slow, and stinks b) Bertuzzi is olds, slow, and stinks c) Hudler is small, slow, and stinks Replace these three guys with FAST, YOUNG, and GOOD. That's the answer. We've got a Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Filppula, Franzen, Helm, and Abdelkader. Those 6 forwards are worth their salt. The coaching staff and GM should have enough brains to know what to do with the other 6 spots. Unfortunately, they think Holmstrom and Bertuzzi are 40 goals scorers. Babcock and Holland need to pull their heads out of their butts and realize that they don't have to throw 2011-2012 down the drain to save face with their signings and loyalty. Just put the crappy guys in the stands, and fess up to the fact that you signed them for too long.

Babs, you know I love you. How much more digging is this team supposed to do before it manages to net more than one goal a game? Anymore wilting and we'll be bent over on the pavement. Their success this season has more to do with them setting fire to Brett Lebda and sending him off to sea.

Question and sorry if it's been covered, I know Brunnstrom doesn't have to clear waivers to come back up to the Wings this year that pasrt is clear. So if Bruno does come back up because of injury or something he would have to clear again if he was sent back down to GR right?

I second this, I was more then just a little disappointed at the lack of a shot he recieved when he got here. I thought having him on Z's one wing and Mule on the other would have been a stellar line 2...Or like you said, with Dats on 1.

Approaching an hour until 12 and I havn't heard anything yet, I'm hoping this is a good thing. Do they announce his pick up immediatley or wait until 12? (if he gets picked up)

I love Edmonton, they have an insane group of young talent all apparently ready to play this year. Good to see Smyth back as well. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Ive always hated Toronto and Montreal fans because they are turn on their own team on a dime. I never thought Detroit fans would stoop to that level... Guess im wrong. How can you blame the COACH for the fact that the best PLAYERS aren't performing? I actually really like the second and third lines so far. I wouldn't mind seeing hudler replace cleary on the first line to try and spice things up a bit Go babs! Go wings!

I've been saying for the past 3 years to get rid of Cleary, and how he isn't worth his contract $$. Often injured, under performing. Too many Cleary supporters here; I believe this will be the year that Cleary REALLY regresses. The most annoying part? He's making 3 million this year and has a NTC. I don't want to hear anyone else complain this season after you've all given me sh*t about hating him. Just for perspective these players are also making 3 million this year... Loui Eriksson Alexander Frolov Patric Hornqvist Olli Jokinen Rostislav Klesla Martin Hanzal Hell, I'd take any of them over Cleary. Lets face it our organization is OVERLY loyal; Draper stayed 2 years longer than he should of, Maltby as well. Let the flames begin, it's just the bitter truth. Enjoy Cleary's ineffectivness before he gets injured for another 30 games again this year guys!!

I have been avoiding this thread because of all the years to post this its now? We have been one of the oldest teams for a few years running and as soon as we shed years off our median age so where smack dap in the heard you demand to be younger? Im not even going to comment on Zetterberg is a "superstar" comment, just ridiculous.
