Just got mine last week... had been thinking about it forever, but I'm happy I finally pulled the trigger!

My liver wouldn't take it. The fact that it might have to be pushed back is reason enough not to. Also... I don't know... it just seems like we're kind of trying to legitimize ourselves by tacking on to a bigger sport. Not keen on it.

All I know is Emmerton needs to sit before Mursak. Our 4th line is a breath holder every shift for me at least.

Pretty sure good teams lose to bad teams sometimes. Pretty sure the Wings are #1 in the league at the moment. Pretty sure they've beaten some very good teams lately. Pretty sure you're overreacting.

Franzen is a great salesman.

Although not my favorite time (because when you hear it we are going on the PK), let's not forget about Archie Eversole!

This whole season I think I've only noticed Emmerton a small handful of times. The kid has shown absolutely no spark whatsoever. Nothing against him, he's not really hurting, but he's certainly not helping and I don't think he'll ever amount to much. He's playing because we've lost our depth at center.

I'm neutral on Emmerton. He is what he is: a 4th line center. Mursak is more multi-dimensional and would be a better option, but as was said he is a winger. But I don't think it can be argued that Miller and Homer aren't bringing it 100% on every shift. Those two are always flying out there.

Emmerton is a center, Mursak is a wing.

I noticed he was taking requests, never noticed that before. At any rate, I don't much care for generic techno music, but it seems to be necessary for modern sport events. I love the classic rock, but I think the DJ needs to do a better job of picking good songs, not just songs that happen to have a relevant lyric. Also, as much as I love "Don't Stop Believing" I think it should be reserved for special occasions. When the crowd started singing it in Game 6 or 7 of the San Jose series, that was special, I got chills. Hearing people sing it when the Wings are up 3-1 in a regular season game...not so special. Also, I loved the old Detroit Rock City intro...didn't notice it during the Buffalo game, did he stop using that? Sweet Caroline is a good way to end a win, though. Totally unrelated and not a very "sportsy" song, but it's a happy song and when the crowd starts singing it it puts a smile on my face. I also noticed at the Buffalo game he played two Black Keys songs, both of which I immediately thought "sports anthem" when I heard them on the album...even though they're not sports songs. (Lonely Boy and Gold on the Ceiling) They didn't seem very loud when he played them, though. Gold on the Ceiling especially would be a good song to use prominently mid-game or something.

Geesh. Both times I read "taking titles" I read it "taking titties". There is something seriously wrong with me. In other news... Hope you had a great time, Brandon.

It's too bad that this is what enforcer debates have been reduced to: ripping the posters who oppose your viewpoints instead of actually entering reasonable discourse. On both sides.

Honestly, I don't get it. I don't get it. I can't tell whether or not you are purposely pretending to be stupid in order to continue the argument for argument's sake. How do you stop Datsyuk? I said put him between TWO players that can't do anything with the puck. Holmstrom is obviously ONE player. Zetterberg/Franzen/Filppula/Hudler/etc.-Datsyuk-Holmstrom - - - - - that's a good line. Bertuzzi/Cleary/Abdeklader/etc.-Datsyuk-Holmstrom - - - - - that's a bad line. your proposed line of Cleary-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi - - - - - that's a bad line. that's how you stop datsyuk. you put him in between two guys that can't do anything with the puck, and you make it a one on five game.

I'm working on this thing... I'm still kicking around a few ideas on what to do with the rest of it.
