I think the Wings would kick their asses if they met in the playoffs. The only team in the West the Wings seem to match up especially poorly against is San Jose, so if anyone would volunteer to do the dirty work for them on that front I'd really appreciate it. Obviously the Canucks are a great team and that could go either way. Well, they all could, but that's hockey; no one knows which way the puck will bounce. But as long as I'm sitting here making declarations, yes: Chicago sucks and are not as good as the team I like.

Yikes... 0g 2a in 7gp two years ago, 4g 2a in 9gp last year. So basically you want to trade Hudler for a guy making more than anyone else on the Wings but producing less offence than Hudler. AND you want to throw tons of other s*** in the deal too like one of our top prospects (Tatar). From Washington's prespective they get guy who can produce as much as Semin in less ice time PLUS $3,825,000 in cap relief (noting that Washington has$0 in cap space right this season). Holland would have to be a meth addict to make that trade. lol

why is everyone giving you minuses? marchand is short, salo is tall, and yes, salo was gonna try to hit marchand high so he took the low road. he only got suspended cause salo got a concussion. if ALL of the canucks weren't such assholes, people wouldn't go after them like they do. hasn't anyone heard lately that no one in the league has any respect for the ****** bag canucks team? they're dirty, yet they dive like no team you've ever seen. the canucks are a mockery to the NHL.

I disagree completely. This is entirely a Brian Burke calibre team - they've finished 12th, 15th, 10th and are currently 13th under his leadership. Was there a "Most over-rated GM" question on the players poll? 'Cos then the Leafs can claim a hat-trick of victories.

The rumor mills keep talking about Alex Hemsky. I am telling you now that would be the WORST possible acquisition. The guy can't stay healthy plus he is a "lightweight". We already have two lightweights on the second line. Wings need a shooter who is not afraid to take a big hit and to deliver a big hit..... period..... because I will tell you now... San Jose, Vancouver and St. Louis will deliver hits that will cause some injury.... guaranteed. And it is possible that Wings could face all three teams in the playoffs.

How to explain last night. Loud, rowdy, raucous, happy, partying atmosphere. From the very start with Homer getting a nice standing ovation, and going all the way to the end with cheers, hugs, high fives and tears...you cannot put it into words. You had to be there to know just what it meant. Ran into a fellow who was there last night, and we said we were too...told him where we sat (top of section 124), and he said, "Section 222." Anyone who was there last night will always remember where they sat...you may not for any other game in your life, but this one you will. I was thrilled to be there...I will never forget it. After the game, while we were waiting for the shuttle back to Hockeytown, some guy in a car along the river had his window open yelling, "Steve Ott sucks!" We loved it. What a total idiot - not five seconds out of the box, and he goes right back in. I was so wishing he'd get Kronwalled. If anyone ever deserved one, it's him.

this got me looking at youtube videos about his story.....always gets me. we criticize players, and sometimes forget their people, hes an amazing person, and a hero. we love ya vladdy, you had as big of a part in the 98 cup win as any player on the roster. you went from being on top of the world to a coma, to not being able 2 speak or walk, and continue to be determined to get better everyday.
