The problem with Crosby being the poster boy of the NHL is his behavior. He is immature and disrespectful, that is why I can't stand him and all the praise he is always getting. I've never had any respect for him because of us unprofessional behavior...yes he may be talented but that gets canceled out when you're a whiny *****.

There are a few chosen players that seem to never be able to do any wrong in the league's eyes, and get treated as such. They start fights they can't finish, they dive, they ***** and moan to the media, and they give hockey a bad name. Its not just one player, though one player is the poster boy for it.

And of course, he unknowingly admits the whole double-standard when it comes to penalizing him. ...despite the fact that there have clearly been times he should have been penalized. It was refreshing to see someone in the media actually say it like it is when it comes to Crosby's behavior and not just ignore his antics like everyone else.

I agree with Milbury (shudders) in saying Crosby is fair game if he's going to keep getting into scrums and putting himself out there. Not because I hate the guy, but because it's not fair to have two sets of rules for the league superstar and everyone else. That's why die hard fans of sports end up hating superstars. That being said, Milbury is a ****** and a creep.

I am looking for help compiling a list of all the people that have been Kronwalled as well as some feedback. I built a site that will serve as a running list and correlating videos. I will add any new hits to the site so now you can find all the hits in one easy place. What I need: Did I miss any hits? If so, please provide who, a link to the hit, and if at all possible, the date the hit happened. I have a few more names on my list that have not been added, mainly because it's hard to find individual videos for them. Feedback on the site. Does it work in your browser? I couldn't have said it better. Yeah, Milbury might be a douchebag at times, but this time he's right on the money. This double set of rules for one person and then the rest of the league is getting way too old. If you act like a spoiled kid, you should expect to get punished for it. He deserved what he got. I wish someone would line him up and knock him into next week.

I played baseball and find the games at the Major League level to be the most boring off all North American sports. Come at me.

Milbury is an idiot. Crosby does have some PUNK in him. However that was a cheapshot by Schenn. This series will be the most entertaning one in the first round.

No -- Lidstrom is a shadow of his old self and needs to retire for the needed cap space, Zetterberg's back has made his contract an albatross (see first half of this season), Datsyuk is getting old with injuries taking an obvious toll (only 5 pts in 8 gms since coming back from injury) and Howard is too inconsistent, with poor rebound control and never taken a team past the 2nd round. I say gut the team... Maybe keep Helm, but he is starting to seem pretty injury-prone. And I thought Daigle has been playing in Switzerland? Regardless, I'm on board.

I think it'll happen either way. Here's why: As far as I know the 2012 summer UFA class is the best there's been in years. And I'm betting there won't be another great class like this in the next year or two, which means this summer is the only truly great chance we have to replace Lidstrom without losing anything other than money. Obviously a free agent signing is a better option than a trade, and Holland is going to make that push whether Lidstrom retires or not. After all, Lidstrom's only going to be around for another year (maybe) and you still need him replaced. Better to do it now, enjoy one super-amazing year, and then already have his replacement locked in when he retires.

I can see the reasoning behind all of the options, but in the grand scheme of things, making the playoffs is what you have to do. Beyond that, it's a bounce here or there that can kill you or save you. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but it takes a full season to make the playoffs. It means even more now that our division is actually competitive. I consider making the playoffs to be a successful season. And then the real work starts. After that, everything else is gravy. I'm not going to be happy with anything but a Cup, but I'm not going to get mad about not winning it every year either. Unless we win the Cup, I will be disappointed, but I will still consider this to be a highly successful team. Maybe I've spent too many decades as a Lions fan.

Id love a deep run and a Cup - obviously. But beating Nashville (should we meet in round 1) is huge because if we lose to them I can almost gurantee that any chance of nabbing Suter or Weber in free agency goes out the window if we cant beat them. I have it on good authority that Weber genuinely wants to be a Red Wing. After all these deadline moves and the acquisition of Radulov get set golfing a week into the playoffs it will be a huge disappointment to an excited fanbase and a GM/owner who are desperately trying to change their nickel and dime reputation to entice their stud free agents to stick around. If Stuart heads west and Holland can sack up and sign Suter this summer that would be a huge first step towards getting Weber when he becomes a UFA summer 2013 (unless Nashville trades him beforehand). Whether Lids stays or goes (hopefully stays!!!) if we can beat the Preds in fairly swift fashion without creating a Vancouver-Chicago type hatefest in the process I think we have a good shot at getting Suter. So in summary: 1) Perfect world we go all the way and win the cup. Beat Nashville in the first round, avenge San Jose in the second round, take out Vancouver in the third round, then win the rubber-match against Pittsburgh in the finals.
