I suspect there may have been more to it than that, namely not starting out in such a hostile and unforgiving market.

For the past 3 years, the team has been way too reliant on Datsyuk. Earlier last decade, not even losing Yzerman or Fedorov did the team suffer as much as they do today without Pavs.

It's games like this that make me wish I could write the headline for either the News or the Free Press for tomorrow: "Wings Play Like Ass, Fall to Ducks 5-2"

I would take Huskins for sure over White right now. White is an offensive d-man, but he certainly isn't contributing to the PP. Huskins is an upgrade defensively and can kill penalties. The Red Wings really need Smith back too. He makes White very expendable.

Good news, Andersson, Emmerton and Tatar were our best players. Bad News, Andersson, Emmerton and Tatar were our best players. Kronwall has to be better, he's regressing from last year. White has been awful. Offense is going to suffer when Datsyuk/Bertuzzi/Franzen/Samuelsson are out, but that has nothing to do with the turnovers.

Well....same bunch of crappy players..... ....Quincey blows, Cleary sucks, Kindl inept, not impressed with Nyquist what-so-ever, Howard playing WELL below average... Just don't understand why babcock has M-Raz riding the pine. If you aint gonna play him, send him back to GR, he needs to play. I think babs is riding Howards crank or something because he just won't sit him...M-raz is way better than Howard IMO. Once again Bobby Ryan showing that he is the player we need on this team! Make the Filppula package deal tonight! Hell, make a blockbuster and acquire both Perry & Ryan... Did Kenny say that Helm was nowhere near returning? Jeezus! He has become too fragile for the NHL... I don't see all the hate on MacDonald. When he came up for us, he came up big. When we needed him, he threw out some outstanding performances. If he did get claimed, and was able to secure himself a back-up role permanently for someone, I would be happy. He certainly could help out someone, just unfortunately it can't be for us. Howie, Monster and Mrazek seem to be the future of this organization right now (obviously we haven't seen Monster, but I feel like he's going be outstanding for us when needed)

The sentence was way too light. Hats off to Fleury. Even if this creep didn't get what he deserved, Fleury is a role model for abused children telling them to take action.
