LV bookies game time stats get skewed by home team...147 hits for...3 hits against over/under available on ref getting shot. slots at every seat! players can double down their points! puck looks like poker chip! flashy lights blind goalies...think of the fun! LV magicians spontaneously fan appears on ice in uniform of opposing team! puck splits into 3 at 1 min remaining! teams can only use 1/2 body of goalie in 3rd. intermission entertainment has Bengal tiger chasing kids on ice! players can have puck up sleeve in case real one doesn't "work" for them. sorry...getting carried away.

I agree, think about it. How would another team in Detroit go??? Or Boston & Chicago for that matter. If the NHL wants to keep any face at all, you pay respect to the original 6. And proposing another team in any of those markets is a BIG mistake. The original 6 is the calling card of the league, with the fan base to support it. Dilute or pollute that, and you create a mess.

Yeah, I mean Phoenix is doing so well, let's toss another team right next to them. So what fun and exciting name are they going to slap on this one? If any of those cities was going to be the first "lock" to get an NHL expansion team, Vegas is the last one on the list I thought would be receiving one. Seattle or QC makes the most sense.

The veteran has ditched 71, flipping the digits to 17. I know a lot of people will say they wish he wasn't going to don any Red Wings jersey this upcoming season but I still love Danny and I hope he has a solid season. And I for one, couldn't stand seeing that 71 on the ice, I think he will look great with number 17 on his back.

I think another expansion is a terrible idea. I would prefer to get rid of a few teams if anything and cut the league back down to 28, but we know that isn't going to happen. I just hate the idea of watering down the skill level of the league even more than it already is. Why not just relocate a couple of the struggling teams? There is no need of having two teams in Florida, especially with one struggling mightily. And Phoenix has struggled for years as well. Why not just relocate the Panthers to get a team back in Quebec City or maybe Hamilton, Ontario and relocate the Coyotes to get a team in Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon NOT Las Vegas, Nevada... Go back to the six, five team divisions... I don't know that still existing is the only barometer of success. All have serious attendance issues. Phoenix was getting run by the league for a stretch. Most of these previous expansion markets are far from thriving and the league wants to continue pushing the idea. I hope there is a way to resolve the unbalanced conferences, but I don't want it come through adding four additional teams. I'm not really even a fan of two more unless it involves relocation.

To this day, I cannot figure out why they keep trying to keep the Phoenix Arizona Coyotes propped up, while they just bailed on the Thrashers. Not a group I would trust to pull off a 4 team expansion.

yup yup yup. Nyquist NEEDS to continue to play with Zberg. For chemistrys sakes, and Nyquist's future. Jurco should be playing in GR or on the third line during injuries. I won't be able to find it, but there was a stat a few years back showing that Pav and Z actually score more when they're apart. Don't know if that's still the case, but I like Zberg as 2nd line center, especially if Weiss continues riding the struggle bus. I have no problem with Z, Dats and Gus. Like Nawein said, Z and Gus had great chemistry before the Olympics. Placing Jurco on the top line right now isn't what's needed. He needs to grow his offensive game at the NHL level and learn how to score and be physical consistently, so that when he gets his top line minutes chance, he can do the job. Learning the power forwards role against top line opponents when you're a rookie isn't easy. If Abby had better hands, he'd be perfect. Can we bring back Shanny?

A league that is already too big, has struggling franchises want's to expand instead of relocate ... just amazing The only thing Las Vegas can provide is gambling 24/7.

I'm not okay with Abby there either. He's a 4th liner, 3rd at best. But no, Jurco isn't ready. And yes, Jurco put up a 34 point pace against much lesser competition vs abbys 33 point pace against top line competition. CLEARLY this means Jurco should be there. What was I thinking? Excuse my ignorance. And Kip, did you watch the last few games before the olympic break when Gus and Z played together? The chemistry and puck movement was insane. Z and pav like. So why not have two extremely dunamic duos on the ice at the same time? We wouldn't need to grind it out much because we'd always have the puck. If you want to change the dynamic of the attack, you don't do that by putting one guy thats going to go to the net on each line. You put two on one line. Franzen and Jurco can both play down low. Put them together. Putting Jurco on the top line now could actually kill that line (not to mention the kids confidence) just as much as abby has.

Frank I don't even know what to say in response to you sometimes but I can't resist... The Bruins are not being "punished" for success or having a great goal scorer. They legally evaded the cap and deferred their bonuses to this year by choice. I suggest you do some research there... So in your opinion... To attract free agents...we need to not do well...draft high...get some good young players...even though you just claimed no one knows how young players will ever turn out...or was that just relevant for our current prospects...whatever benefits your argument at the time I guess... OK. Where...in Zeus' butthole...did you come up with this idea...and in what universe did that make sense... PS. I may have had a drink...

People talking about desserts are making me hungry. If they call them the Las Vegas Gamblers, I'll cry over the lack of originality. If they call them the Las Vegas Crap Shooters, I just might buy a hat or something. It would make for a fun away game destination, but that's probably what it would end up being- a bunch of fans of the visiting team who got the tickets as part of a casino deal. How would that be for player morale?

Do we really want to be exposing our young fans to that kind of stuff at such a young age? This should be about hockey, not blowing away money. Which is precisely the reason the NHL should avoid LV like the plague.

So two years the league was in such bad shape that it was shutdown with the lockout, but now let's add 4 teams? The ineptitude is mind-boggling, either Bettman was dropped on his head as I child or someone should drop him on it now.

Oh but of course their cash cow HUT will still be there, so they can have their $20 player card pack deals and bank on those every week. EA has proven time and time again that money is top priority. I've been playing versus since Sega Genesis hockey games. For me it's run it's course, that's why I loved EASHL so much because it was an entirely different way to play the game. With full human control, there is no "glitching" or exploiting the AI goaltender all game with short side high corner goals that go in 100% of the time if you shoot from the right area of the ice. With the human element there, 6 human players versus 6 human players, it's true competition and team work to succeed and win games. NHL 13 and 14 combined, I had about 2,700 EASHL games played, got my Legend 3 card within the first 6 weeks of the games release and played it around 5 times a week. Now I gotta find something new to binge out on when i'm bored at night and looking to game.

I think Kopitar and Weber are better fits. Kopitar could center our 3rd line if Helm is injured again.
