They obviously don't plan on keeping him. Waivers is step one to see if anyone bites. Noone did. Step 2 is try to trade him after retaining salary. I think there's a good chance there. Last resort would be to buy him out and he becomes an UFA. Either way he gets picked up by another NHL team next year because he is still good enough to play in this league. I would be shocked if he doesn't get at least a one year one way show me deal at least next year if he gets bought out. Its not like I'm arguing he's a top 4 D here, I think we all agree he isn't even tho he's paid like one. I just don't think he's the hot garbage that some of you think he is. Its simply my opinion, y'all are certainly allowed to disagree.

Yeah. Stop doing what it is ur being paid to do. Lose on purpose. That's how you become a model franchise.

Chapsy, you and I can agree on this one. Just no. Stay away. He was a constant disappointment here. Then he signs a big deal and totally steps off the gas. This guy is dumber than even we could've predicted. Like Kick said, I wouldn't tolerate that behavior from a top player, why would I accept it from Brendan Smith.? Just no. Stay away.

Yeah you don’t sign a guy who got cut on his first year contract because of being out of shape and not taking conditioning seriously. Huge red flag. Doubt the Wings take him back anyways.

Dahlin will be gone 9-10 spots before the Wings pick

too bad we can't play these guys more often, seems like they're one of the only teams against which we have their number

Helm EN! I thought for sure this was going to go on page 1 of the GDT.

If I hadn't seen it for myself I would totally accuse you of posting fake news. And against the Preds no less.

Sergei and Andrei Kostitsyn. I'd say that Eric and Jordan may be the most apt comparison. Eric was an elite top line forward (center) and Jordan was / is a solid middle six forward (center).

Jimmy's play ALWAYS drops off after the new year...every year. With the exception of a solid one here and there...
  19. 1 point
No... Bringing him for anything opens up a can of worms we don't want. Plus he got cut by NYR because of his lack of effort and conditioning. Keep that poor work ethic out of this org. He could be a top calibre defenseman but still not acceptable.

Buppy gets a hardon off one liners and trying to nitpick other peoples conversations he’s not involved or invited in, it fullfils his ego and nullifies his insecurities. Leave him be you hater.

Because anyone can get traded, and that includes any current Red Wing, despite what those say about us having so many "unmoveable" or "untradeable" contracts...

Its called coaching. "Doubles" was cheating defensively on his shifts. When ur a young player still learning the sport and you do that, you gonna sit. Good or bad, that's what coaches do.

Hands down the worst GM in the league, which is exactly why Holland should be calling him every chance he gets. Draisaitl for Tatar seems pretty fair to me...

BT's strip club in Dearborn. Has a knack for drinking too much while there and getting caught by cops.

Chiarelli is old, white and kinda pudgy. I doubt he has any good "moves." Fun fact: Chiarelli is a Harvard grad. No kidding.
