Unfortunately, it's also why Dubas would probably do anything to keep him. We could at least screw with their cap situation tho, so there's that.

CAR vs WSH - Series Thread

3-2 Wash with 5 min left. Carolina has really picked it up in the third, outshooting 29-17 in the game. Svechnikov with both goals. Ovie with one and Backstrom with 2 for the Caps. This should be a great series.

Exactly. The NHL is a workshop. The CHLs are a doctor's office. Helm = cordless Makita and you lost all of the attachments!

So in other words, you're saying Cozens would be the better fit for this team.

    2019 Draft

I've seen Cozens botch passes that Dach would've nailed. Some of them were relatively simple passes, the kind the Red Wings can't seem to execute with any kind of precision. Like I said, Dach's game is more understated. If you want a hammer, Cozens is your guy. If you want a scalpel, Dach is your guy. (Oversimplification, but you get the point I'm making.)

Because ur supposed to root for them to crash and burn as quickly as possible. Isles going out in the 2nd round doesnt change the pick all that much, and its the lesser of 2 evils.

    2019 Draft

Some places do have him as a C: http://www.mynhldraft.com/2019-nhl-draft/player-profiles/Bobby-Brink https://dobberprospects.com/cam-robinsons-2019-nhl-draft-rankings-top-100-february-2019/ I guess it's one of those Brady Tkachuk situations where the player's settled in as a winger but he does have some experience playing center. Peyton Krebs would be another example. In one of the two times I've watched Brink, I could've sworn I saw him play center on a few shifts. But, yeah, it's more accurate to call him a winger at this point. In any case, we're in agreement. I think we're gonna see some really good players slide. Maybe not the likes of a Newhook, but I guess you never know. (See: Veleno, Joe. Like you said.)

    Happy with 6th Pick?

You could look at it that way. But you could also say that [insert any of the wins we had over the course of the season] cost us. And that's with the benefit of hindsight. IMO, the real lesson here is that the lottery is bulls*** and teams should just focus on winning games and let the cards fall where they may.

    2019 Draft

I'd say the difference is Dach is more of a driver whereas Rasmussen is pretty much a net-front specialist. IMO, Dach is more skilled and dynamic, his skating is better, and he's the better two-way player, all of which gives him the higher floor and the higher ceiling. Yeah, I'm assuming McMichael gets taken in the 1st round. Same with Bobby Brink, another under-the-radar centerman I really like.

In order for teams to move up, there have to be teams that fall back. Math.

He was pulled in the Miracle on Ice game when the score was 2-2. Terrible coaching by Tikhonov. Totally overreacted. Tretiak was the best goalie in the world in his prime. The Russians win that game if he stays in the net.

So IDK what you pay for car registration, but if you live in the city of Seattle it's anywhere between $200 to $1000 dollars a year, based on the value of your car, just for tags. Crazy right? Well they levied these huge fees on car registration in order to pay for a city-wide subway system (we currently have a very small system that needs to be greatly expanded). Now the city wants to levy EVEN MORE fees, this time to pay for a different light rail train system throughout the city, and all these daft coonts living in the city said "that sounds nice" and voted yes on it. I call them daft coonts because that subway system they promised to build with the first round of taxes? Never got built. Never even started construction. But no one seems to care or feel the need to hold the city accountable. They just vote yes on the next thing. Drives me nuts. I'm sure I'll get slapped with state income tax in order to build an elevator to the moon at some point, and by 2076 I still won't be walking on the moon. That's my vent for the day They can have her honestly

    2019 Draft

I'll take it! I'm much higher on Cozens than Dach, but I wouldn't be that surprised if there are teams that would take Dach over Cozens. To be honest, this draft could go any number of ways. I bet there will be a player most people would consider a lock to go top 5, slip out of the top 10...

    Happy with 6th Pick?

I am pissed that CHI won the 3rd overall pick. Wings picking 6th and falling again sucks as well. Just just bummed out on the season in general. The lottery is the cherry on top the cake.

In strictly isolated factoring, yes, but given applied variables accounting for the metrics that determine contingency for taxation itself, that conclusion is not always true. This explains the Keynesian/Hayekian polarization burdening our politics today.
