I hear ya. Guess I'm just wondering 1) why he has to be a galaxy brain and 2) what that would entail. I'd say he's a better player now than Nyquist and Tatar were at his age. (Let's remember: He turned 20 a month ago.) He's not yet the destroyer of worlds that we'd all hoped he'd be by this point, and it's entirely possible he never becomes that player. But I feel like Zadina's more or less what you'd expect from your average 6th overall pick. Quinn Hughes is probably the better player right now and that stings a little bit. But I continue to be more than ok with the decision to take Zadina. 8 points through 13 games and he's only going to get better. You do make good chocolate, I'll give you that. Agreed.

Explain the upside in keeping Howard and Bernier... There is none. They both suck. Comrie has sucked so far, but is at least young enough that he could have become a part of the future. Even if you put that at 5-10%, that's still much higher than the 0% that Howard / Bernier are part of the future... I don't get this at all. Sure, in hindsight maybe Yzerman should have kept figuratively nothing, over literally nothing, but losing Saarijarvi does not hurt us in any way.

I don't think Fabbri will ever play much center. I see him as more of a middle six winger. Zadina, top six winger.

While Muzzin did have his leg behind Mantha's - I cannot honestly say that was an intentional slew foot. Taking into consideration that Mantha had Muzzin in a headlock, and was feeding him a few jabs - what was Mantha trying to accomplish here, and what did he expect from Muzzin - to sit back, and enjoy a pummeling? I'm just hoping Mantha's ok.

What? I get you're desperate to throw shade Zadina's way at every turn possible and in general I don't feel inclined to say anything because, like, that's just your opinion man. This one was pretty ******* stupid though. Also no thanks on Andersson. Demanding a trade and then not showing up to work doesn't scream "future success" to me, particularly if you're doing it while struggling to find your game.

AA is not being traded. He's a 30 goal scorer having a bad season mostly because of who Blashill plays him with. You don't just trade away one of your best scorers because of 1 season. and I agree, none of our UFA's will garner any interest. If we could dump Nielsen and Helm, that would be a great TDL.

Yup - finishing last doesn't mean much anymore when it comes to the draft. I'm expecting to face mockery from rival fan bases as we will most likely pick 3rd, or 4th.

I did this a couple days ago and it was pretty grim. I must've fallen to 4th around 10 times in a row before getting a 3rd.
