Seriously. It's ******* disgusting. This team has given up at the first sign of trouble. I really fuqqing hope SY isnt planning on keeping Lalonde for 7 ******* years like we did with Blashill. If this s*** is still going on by end of contract he has got to go.

Nashville is in wild card spot right now and a 3 hour ride and lots and lots of bars... vs Dallas is second in division now and a 13 hour drive and lots and lots of bars ..... vs Detroit is out of the playoffs and I sit at home and mope and drink lots and lots of whiskey Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Can add the forwards to that list...Not like we're losing 6-5 where we at least get to be serenaded by Eminem's "Nyaah Nya Nya Nya Nya - Nyaah Nya Nya Nya Nya" multiple times. October/November was a short but exhilarating ride...All came crashing down once December hit. Copy/paste what St Louis did 2019? That would require some moves behind the bench though. EDIT - That guy was recently made available

It's true though. It's like everyone in the NHL sphere is mesmerized by guys that are flashy. They can be absolutely terrible, but if they can stickhandle then everyone thinks they're good. It drives me absolutely crazy.

When your team sucks for 8 years, nobody will blame you for hoping the playoffs begin in November.

We arent going to look good until our 5 pylons of defense are replaced with skaters. I'd love to see us move Kane and Perron to EDM at the deadling for Broberg, btw.

I cannot believe Lalonde just said he "liked our 3rd period". He also answered "consistent play" when Trevor asked him what would spark the team. I hate everything about this guy right now. I swear to god I'd walk into the locker room before the next game and tell Justin Holl he's getting in a fight after the opening faceoff or he's scratched the game after. "Daniel Sprong, if you don't have 4 shots on goal by the 3rd period you aren't playing one single second. Go get em son".

I think @GMRwings1983 said he would hire Saddam Hussein if it meant we stop playing like batch boys. 100% this. I want to hire Torts. I want Torts to bring a gun to practice. Nuff said.

AS a fan - I never quite get the dislike that some fans have for Torts...The guy gets results...So does Darryl Sutter.

Our entire powerplay strategy is now "let Kane dick around with the puck". That's the plan. Hire Joel Quenneville for f*ck's sake. I guarantee he won't let dudes like Daniel Sprong not finish their checks.

Like, how much do you have to pay Ben Chiarot to hit someone? He's huge, fast, and mediocre to bad at everything else? Why isn't he throwing his body around? What does HE think he's getting paid for?

Edit: I know this isn't the right place to put this but here goes anyway: The thing that drives me insane about carrying three goalies is that because Husso and Lyon got hurt it's going to justify in the minds of management that it was a good idea to have two goalies sitting on the bench every night and not roster players. Like, they'll gloss over the fact that all three goalies suck and so the difference between two s***ty goalies and 5 or 10 or whatever is a difference of quantity and not quality. They'll also point to our top of league offense and conclude that we didn't need the roster spot (Berggren) without acknowledging that by this rationale we also didn't need it on Kane either, or an 8th defenseman that didn't completely suck.

Seider = $8x3 Raymond = $7x4 Veleno = $2x2 Rasmussen = $2x1 That would leave us $10 million in cap space with this roster: Debrincat - Larkin - Raymond Fabbri - Copp - Compher Rasmussen - Veleno - Kostin Walman - Seider Chiarot - Holl Maata - Petry Husso Lyon UFAs: Kane, Ghost, Perron, Fischer, Sprong, Czarnik, Reimer Even if we round out the rest of the roster with league min contracts, that still adds another $4.5 million, taking us down to $5 million in free cap space. I don't want to spend literally all of that on Ghost. And unless we are selling one of the bottom 4 Dmen, I don't see any room for Ghostbear, let alone much room for Edvinsson to play. Couple that with the fact that Ghostbear is our most valuable trade piece, and I think he's got to go. IMO we should use this year to sell all the pending UFA's we can, bring Edvinsson and Beggren onto the roster next year. Then use the remaining $8 million to re-sign Sprong, and bring in x2 more new forwards. Next year we can shed Petry, Maata, and Fabbri, and can then focus on reforming the defense.

I'm all for that assuming SY can keep the cap number reasonable, keeping in mind we've got to give Seider and Raymond and Veleno significant raises as well. Ghost in particular has been huge for us this season and I'd love to see him inked to a 3 year deal.
