If it works - it works...There are some nights I wonder how this team pulled off a win, but a sloppy win is still a win in my book. Haven't been looking forward to Red Wing games like I have this season in a long time...Feels good man.

The creepiest part is player #1 in the lawsuit (whom internet detectives have determined is more than likely Dillon Dube) planned and organized the whole thing. Including wrangling the other players, seeking out the women, and getting the consent of the girl videotaped. He was even rejected earlier in the night by other girls whom he approached and asked them to fool around with his teammates. Dube is the gang bang boss.

I'm always nervous with this team lol But nah, I'm not too concerned. Lyon could probably use the rest.

I like the idea of Vatrano more than I like Chychrun. Both are good players but I think the acquisition cost will be high on Chychrun because A) Ottawa gave a pretty solid package to get him, and B) Ottawa is in our division and Chychrun doesn't have the same leverage that Debrincat did. I'm sure SY would rather not trade his first rounder and I don't see how Ottawa can trade Chychrun and NOT get a 1st back without it being a complete disaster. Also, is he even that good? I mean, I haven't really followed his career but he seems a little like a Mantha type in the sense that it SEEMS like he should be good, and everyone keeps waiting for him to be good, but is he actually good? I might rather have Hanafin. Similar attributes but scores more, is outside the division, doesn't have the injury history, and has a longer track record of success. I guess if you're thinking your first round pick is going to be in the 23-26 range then maybe he's worth it anyway.

Agree and theres no reason to think Danielson and/or Kasper can't become exactly that. Neither are likely to be elite offensively but both should be really good 2way Cs - really good in the d-zone and more then capable in the o-zone.

If we don't have a legit second line center between Kasper and Danielson, the entire amateur scouting staff should be fired

No - definitely not what we envisioned. Or at least not what we were hoping for. In that sense, we're eating an L on this. Personally, I'm ok with it. I'm big on the matchup game-within-a-game - so I'm happy to have three solid two-way guys down the middle in Larkin, Compher, Copp. But yeah, I really don't know why this organization can't find a legit point-producing 2C. Weiss. Nielsen. Stopgap Filapoola. And then Copp was gonna be that guy. And then Compher was gonna be that guy. It's really kind of hilarious what a low-key curse this has become. Hopefully Kasper or Danielson is That Guy.

Ras and Fischer are cheap (for now) so it may not matter in the grand scheme of things, but I don't think that is what was envisioned for Copps role when he was signed to that contract. I would say much more of an offensive Guy.

I suppose. But if he's giving more breathing room to your top-six scorers and shutting down other teams' scorers and putting up some points himself, and all of this is helping the team win close games...then I'm perfectly ok with it. Who's that? Does he play defense?

Going to be hard to dump Chia and Gost, but that's what needs to happen.

Last night was our most complete game, imo. There were two lapses on the 2 goals - 1st one Petry doing Petry things and 2nd one Perron whiffing on a clear and then quittig on the play. Tough to blame anyone else but the players on those. But outside of that, we played very well. Even Ghost had a great game. The thing that stood out to me last night was the constant effort to keep Vegas on the perimeter. Seider is a MASTER of driving guys out of scoring position, but the rest of the team usually has a hard time keeping guys out of the way of the goalie. Last night that wasnt the case. Lyon saw EVERY SINGLE SHOT and there weren't a lot of times I can recall a Vegas player with tje puck on his stick between the dots. Complete shutdown. Now Im taking it with a grain of salt because Vegas was on a back to back , but it was still nice to see the Wings playing systematically instead of haphazardly.

Bold Prediction. Jakob Chychrun will a Detroit Red Wing come TDL. It might cost Berggren though.

Not if you're winning games. Not to mention the fact that our 1C and 2C are both less expensive that most competitive teams' rosters so we're saving money there. Take this with a grain of salt because I didn't verify the source, but according to this article the line had a 91% expected goals share against Philly. For those of you not overly familiar with the labyrinthine world of hockey analytics that's a very...VERY...good number.

And they can be hard-matched against top talent (as they were tonight, I believe) - so they're a legit a shutdown line. Having a legit shutdown line *in addition to* two dedicated scoring lines is massive.

A shut down line that also provides offense. If you're going to make any noise in the playoffs you need a line like this

Dylan has almost 500 pts at 27 years old, and has played on CRAP teams til now. There are 98 players with 1000 pts in the history of hockey. I'd say he's pretty fricking good if he ends his career as one of the 100 top scorers all time.

I'd say he's been a net positive. I think our biggest problem's been goaltending. If Lyon's a .923ish goalie from here on out, we're a playoff-caliber team.

You, a simpleton, see's something gross,.. Whereas the apex athlete see's the highest form of team bonding possible. Tootoo said in his biography that there was quite a bit of teammates doubling teaming chicks in juniors. Bros that bang hos together, score goals together.
