I don't care what anyone says, I won't believe for a second that it's been smart to put so much pressure on Howard both mentally and physically. I've been complaining about it since it started and I called this happening. I'm no genius, it's really pretty damn simple to figure out. Goalies take a lot of time to develop and Howard's development went slower than most already in the AHL, but the NHL is a different game. It was absolutely insane to play him night in night out last year and then kick into the same habits this year after he clearly struggled in the playoffs. WE KNOW JIMMY HOWARD HAS THE SKILL TO BE AN EXCELLENT GOALIE!!!!!!! What's going to make that a moot point real fast? His head. Say what you want, but they've done nothing but set Howard up for failure early on in his career. No way I'm going to buy that this guy isn't capable of being better. His head is a mess. You can see it in his eyes; it's anger, frustration and more than anything, fear. He never should have been put into this position this early on. It was a stupid, absolutely idiotic coaching decision. Fans didn't have any patience and Babcock didn't have any patience; no foresight. Now the team is paying for it and more than anyone, Howard is paying for it...and it was never fair to him.

1/10 GDT: Red Wings 4 at Avalanche 5

Everything I have come to witness, everything I have come to understand, everything I have come to know, everything I have come to love, of good and evil, of hockey, of Red Wings, started in early, cold January in 1997 with a game against the Avalanche, few weeks after I've come to live in the United states from Europe. While it was not the infamous bench-clearing brawl game that would come a bit later, it has stuck with me ever since. And it always will. Without ever seeing a hockey game in my life, without knowing anything about the sport, without even knowing of the Red Wings existence, I accidentally stumbled upon a game that would change my life. The name, the colors, Scotty Bowman's look, it all left a monumental impression on a young, innocent kid. I was surprised that I was mesmerized by something, at first glance so simple and effortless... the way they were passing the puck around. I questioned weather it was the Red Wings or the game of hockey itself that had me spellbound. I had my answer two days later, during which I tried to watch several other games, none featuring the magicians in red and white. "Tried" is the right word, since it took an effort on my part to watch something that left me mostly pleasureless. "So..., the Red Wings then, that's the answer," I thought to myself. "Yes, they play hockey too, but, it's Red Wings Hockey." To this day, it's difficult for me to watch other teams, so I do not. On the other hand, with the Red Wings, it's always the same on gameday: a lot of anticipation, a lot of excitement, dash of fear. When they score: instant dementia that leads to derangement and culminates in pure ecstasy. Let's not talk about opponents and playoffs, I'll be banned, and I've only just registered. I have been lurking around this forum for two years now. It's finally time to let my presence felt. Why now? I do not know. Perhaps the final star has aligned itself in the form of our victory against the Vancouver Canucks. I am still buzzing from it. That game made me go and buy Little Caesars pizza at 11 o'clock at night. I never had Little Caesars pizza before, and I have been living here, happily now, for 14 years. I was not even hungry. What can you say about their $5 Hot-n-Ready!? It's hot. It's ready. 'Nuff said. I hope you won't hold it against me, my lengthy introduction and such. Do not despair. The game is drawing near, and I am out of ale. I must make haste. The only question now is: India Pale or Belgian white? Catch you on the flip side.

So he'll only play when he's about to hit 400 career wins or when Lidstrom tells Babs to play him? Win a game, lose a player. The streak...continues.

Oh God forbid a fan ever has a negative comment about their team with you. Everything is whining to you. I've been consistent with my comments regarding Howard lately. If you think one comment is trolling because I was/am upset with Howard's play, then I have nothing else to offer. Make your excuses on why the team isn't performing. It's not like Howard hasn't been having outings like this for over a month now or anything.

Go away for real. No one wants to hear your smart ass comments for anytime someone criticizes the Red Wings.

Uh, okay. I didn't say the goals were his fault aside from the 2nd goal. I don't like the fact that the puck isn't hitting him tonight.

And judging from his creepy on-screen performances, you don't want to know where that Human Penis (or Henis) has been.

Who gives a s***? It's not about the goals tonight. Obviously not a giant Howard fail, but demonstrative of just how screwed up his head is. Again, I don't care what anyone says, if Howard had his head halfway straight right now, he'd stop 3 of those goals, defensive fault or not, great play or not. He's lost, and he just got pulled for the 2nd time in how many games??? More good food for his thought process. It's a s*** situation with Osgood down, no doubt, but this mess started last year.

Without two of the Detroit's top scorers I really don't think the Wing's will be able to overcome McDonald's horrid play.

Couldn't they go out and find Lemieux, drag him in there and beat the s*** out of him again? Just for old times' sake? And yes, indeedy, I am unreasonably venting. Hasn't been a real good week around here.

    More 24/7?

Being covered by HBO especially 24/7 you had to expect the series to be covered with great emotion and it showed. I absolutely loved watching the series. I've gained more respect for some players I thought were complete douches. Also, the final episode I found to be really emotional, I'm not sure it was but the outdoor arena part with the kids hit me pretty hard and the final 5 minutes where they were playing exogenesis pt 3 by muse was amazing. The passion they put into the show and showcased it was beautiful.

    Next Sens GM...Pierre McGuire?!

Pierre is creepy at times. But on the other hand, he knows his stuff. He knows a lot about prospects. He has great connections. I honestly think he'd be one of the better GMs in the league.
