#2562683 MLive : Howard out at least 2-4 weeks with "slight groin tear"

That's just nuts.

.916 save percentage would put Mrazek next to Jonathon Quick and Frederik Andersen for 18th-20th league wide, and the 2.29 GAA would put him with Jaroslav Halak around 12th in the league.  Those are numbers that the Wings can win games with.

And he at least looks like an NHL caliber goalie in shootouts.

For the record, I have total faith in Mrazek.

And I in McCollum.

I'd rather they do a Nick Lidstrom and miss the game and take the one game suspension.  I don't really think either is having an all star type season.  Nyquist deserves to go.

Honestly, other than Howard, no Wings player has stats that look All Star quality.  Not sure why every team needs to have a rep.

Fun for who? As mentioned, they still have to travel and take part in the festivities. The time off would be much better for two aging players that we are going to desperately need down the stretch.

I personally can't wait for the day they abolish the ASG anyways. Haven't watched one in years, so from a fan perspective, it isn't fun for me either.

Oh please.  I remember Bourque and Messier playing in the ASG into their 40's.  Datsyuk and Zetterberg are not bigger than the game.  If they're healthy, they should show respect for the game and the people before them who've played in this game.

I wish hockey was similar to the 90s. I guess those who actually don't play hockey mainly don't realize how much hostility and nastiness there is. Jesus some of you want it to be all class hugs and rainbows

Yep.  Most Wings fans here don't like that part of the game because they've never seen their team actually play it.

That is just simply false and not true.

Media absolutley hated Sundin I guess.

They would like Kessel more if he was Canadian.  I don't think that's a false statement.

Also, I believe I have a point in saying there's not many beloved American born hockey players in Canadian cities.  I just can't think of too many.  Can you?

I'm confused about one thing when it comes to frankgrimes and GMRwings1983 and whoever else there is that dies for fighting and goons that don't have a clue how to actually play hockey... You're all very aware of the fact that Holland wants nothing to do with guys like McGrattan, a "player" like that will never be employed by the Detroit Red Wings, so why are you still fans of such "weak", "pussified" team?... I'm not telling you you shouldn't be a Red Wings fan, but I'm just curious as to why you are?...

Because we're Wings fans first.  We won't root for someone else.

But that doesn't mean I have to accept every cheap piece of europuss that Holland has to stick on the roster.

And if that's not enough, let's just say I want an enforcer on the team just to see kipwinger throwing temper tantrums and starting threads about how useless that player is.

Close.  When I was a child I was a member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.  As luck would have it, premier NHL enforcer Craig Coxe had volunteered to be a member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and I, being a lifelong hockey fan, was chosen as his "little".  I was so excited that I was going to get to spend time with a real, live, NHL enforcer.  No more gushing over hockey cards, facebook photographs, and in-game stills for me.  This was the real thing!  Never had I been more "pro-enforcer".

Craig Coxe is generally unreliable.  Both as a human being, and as a "big".

That's why I hate enforcers GMRwings.  Well that and because Brian McGuffin is "better at life than me".

I bet we'tee the only team board in the league that devoted six pages in 24 hours to McGrattan.

That's because Holland has pussified us for too long.

That's right.  He wants Lucic to go out of his way to hurt someone, so that McGuffin can come back and make Lucic not hurt people anymore.

And that, in a nutshell, is the mentality of the pro-fighting crowd.

I get the feeling that you grew up playing hockey and lost your roster spot to an enforcer.

Miller, Glenfiddich, and McGrattan sounds like an ambulance-chasing law firm of awesomeness and great truculence.

Sounds like something I want to drink

Very funny.  Except, Brian McGrattan is better at life than you are.

The most obvious difference between he and I is that only one of us is currently employed.

LOL.  I think he'll be OK.

You really don't have any ideas?  Not even a guess?

Good to know that LGW will stay true to the status quo.   NEVER CHANGE GMR!

How do you feel about a line of Miller, Glenfiddich and McGrattan?

If Kenny signs him, I will become Holland's biggest fanboy on here.

Clearly Frankgrimes and GMRwings haven't heard the news yet.

They're going to be absolutely devastated when their one and only chance to land McGrattan has came and went.  Devastated.

I didn't hear the news until 10 minutes ago.  That's what work does to you.
