I think everybody is forgetting something that may push this offseason over the edge. No More Lebda.

hey guys I have been watching some datsyuk shootout goals and with Modano and Hurdler joining the team I thought to myself what will the shootout lineup be. With having a not so good shootout record last year it has been in my head for a few days what it will look like so can you guys help me out by saying what you think the 2010-2011 Red Wings shootout line up will be. And how much will Modano and Hurdler help us win in the shootout.

I'd love to see Downey make the team, just because he's such a good dude. That said, hopefully he'll come back with some more refined skills because he'll need it. Keep at it man and skate hard.

Yeah, that game 7 loss to the Pens may end up costing Ozzie a spot in the Hall of Fame. No way they could keep him out with 3 Cup wins as starter.

JEDI: Is there any way to "pin" this thread? Or whatever one has to do to to keep it on the "current" list? ...Or mebee I'm alone in this request? These photos are absolutely fantastic and I've been sitting here alternately tearing up and smiling. Meanwhile, I'm grateful to all of you who know what the hell you're doing and taking the time to put 'em on here.

Just to expound a little on why I'm still loving this offseason more than any other: 1) Modano signed and sounds excited to be here. 2) All of our role players are back. 3) Chelios (even though I hate him) is back. 4) Cleary sounds pumped and ready for the season to start. 5) Happy is back. 6) Everyone is rested. No more fatigue excuses. 7) Yzerman bolted and took on the Tampa Bay Lightning. (some may view this as a negative, but I view it as another team to follow) 8) Our fourth line is now going to be EXTREMELY annoying. 9) Datsyuk and Zetterberg will start the season together and it won't cost us depth at center! 10) We now have two legit PP units 11) Our PK from last season is in tact. (Well, at least as long as Miller is still around) 12) We added a quality face-off guy (Modano). If Holland can manage to land Mitchell, that will be #13.

The only great offseasons are the ones that follow cup wins. Getting excited over actual success is much more satisfying than potential success.

I agree on Ericcson and Hnidy. The thing that bugs me about oru defense is how they try to tie up forwards infront of the net. Put the forwards on their ass infront of the net and its a hell of a lot harder to score then if Brian Rafalski is tying up your stick

Hurdler's favorite move is to leap over the goalie.

Modano will definitely get his chances in shootouts. In fact, I'd rather have him shooting than Zetterberg. Don't get me wrong, Hank is a beast and he's one of my favorite players. But for some reason it seams like he always struggles when it comes to netting one in a shootout scenario.

Octopi are amazing creatures. They can replicate color, shape and texture to their surroundings. They make camelions look like amateurs at blending in. I also hear they are relatively good at picking soccer teams.

You guys need to chill. It's not like Forsberg calls media and says "hey I might make another comeback, write about it please!". From what I know, he has said nothing about returning to the NHL this season, it's all just media speculating. If ANYTHING was happening this off-season maybe they would write about that instead of Forsberg's theoretical return to hockey and/or the NHL. And you can't blame the guy for trying to come back when he feels he can still play hockey if they can just fix that foot of his. He's one of those select few players that can single-handedly make me buy a ticket for a game, so I hope he can play.
