Crosby didn't win that fight. He violently shook the other guy. Crosbys just a pansy. -

they don't have to. his team is 0-4 when he fights. which tells you why he fights in the first place. -

Joey chips a nail, so Ozzie is put in as backup since you don't use your groin when charting face-offs. At the end of the first, the score is 0-0. JHo has faced no shots, so he goes out for a beer during intermission. Finding a nice microbrewery that produces a hearty, yet lilting ale, he loses track of time and fails to return to the game. With 15 seconds left in the second period, Horcroff rings one off the post, and everyone notices that the Wings have had an empty net for the entire period. Ozzie drops his chart, grabs his helmet, but due to the groin injury, he is too late to get to the net, the Oilers get the rebound, and score. Ozzie plays the third. Final score: Wings 3, Oilers 1. Ozzie with the hat trick. LGW complains that he should have had the "soft" goal, and that his scoring is "streaky". -

How about these lines?
13dangledangle and one other reacted to Buppy for a post in a topic
No offense, but that's stupid. Relying far too much on goalie chemistry for that third line. I know Ozzie is tied for third all-time in goals by a goalie, but he can't carry a line by himself. Swap Stuart and Howie, and McCollum needs top-line minutes in GR to develop. Salei is a stud, no idea why you left him out. And why on earth would you have a dinosaur like Homer starting in goal when we have Miller? Do you not know who Miller's brother is? -

I've got $5 in my wallet and some quarters in a jar on my dresser. I'll give it to the first person who tracks Crosby down and hits him in the face with a pie. Any pie will do, I'm not picky. The pie must have buckshot in it, though. Something to really give it some oomph when it smacks into his face. An extra quarter will be given to the person who in place of buckshot uses a live grenade. The quarter of course will be for the customary one phone call from jail. -

Florida marketing to Montreal Canadiens fans?
IILeiBlazeII reacted to Matt for a post in a topic
We had a large contingent of Wings fans from here that got a group rate to see the Wings in Florida two years ago. I've been in touch with the Panthers' ticket office this season and we'll be getting another discount for the game in February this season. I'll be posting something up soon. -
1 pointWorks for me. Hudler better make the most of his time if he wants to keep playing. I hope they get some good minutes at least.

Coaches Challenge in Hockey
Hossa4Life reacted to stevkrause for a post in a topic
I think it's pointless and redundant, they already review questionable goals and they're pretty good about going upstairs when there is any doubt in the first place... The thing that needs to be addressed, are the calls coming from the war room - As soon as it goes to the "war room", the ref should no longer have any say and the war rooms decision should be final, also, they need to get a little better at reviewing in said war room and get a better success rate... Oh, and do I even need to mention the removal of "intent to blow"? Very simple: whistle blown - play dead. no whistle - live play. done and done. -

I don't know, though, a lot of times they screw up the call even after sending it off to review. -

Yup, just like Getzlaf, Perry, Iginla, and Cindy. -
1 pointThe thing about Bert is he fills a net front type role when he needs to and has size. He's good down low and in the corners and can help get the puck to a sniper like Franzen. You actually think breaking up our second line that have been on a tear is a good idea just to hopefully get Hudler going? Hudler is playing with guys that are good enough that if he is that good he could produce. Fact of the matter is he has became lazy, is still small and extremely weak. Another Abdelkader type guy on this team would be a lot better then that 5'7 lazy midget. When Abby is on a line its much more energetic and if there isn't a scoring chance he is at least banging some bodies and creating energy. If Hudler isnt producing he is playing lazily defensively and getting laid out

Do I think Hank and Pav "need" each other to be successful? No, but it damn sure helps... and our 2nd line has been strong all season, even in the games they haven't put up points. Granted, the third line has been atrocious at times, but I don't think the answer is messing with the top two lines, both of which have been great so far. -
