When I lived in Korea, I had to sneak away from work to watch games. Was in the army at the time. Games usually came on at like 6am. In the army that's Physical Training time. I can't even count the number of times I either played sick, or just flat out "vanished" from the group to watch games.

Hello fellow Wings fans, been lurking here since last spring and finally got around to making an account. I'm a student from Finland and the Wings have been my favourite NHL team pretty much since I started playing and following hockey as a little kid (don't play myself anymore though). Gonna be hanging out in the GDTs whenever I can afford to stay up to the wee hours of the morning.

No one is saying that he should be on the team but he is much better then many that are on the list. He should at least be an option.

That's just silly. Cleary plays because he works his ass off every shift and is the most versatile forward on the team. Not to mention, he has six times as many goals as Hudler, seven more points, is a respectable plus two after starting in a huge hole (Hudler is still a minus six) and he kills penalties. If Cleary is one of Babcock's favorites, it's because he earned it - something Hudler has yet to do even remotely this season. I'm not saying that Modano and Cleary don't share some fault for the third line not clicking, but they seem to be doing rather well now with Abdelkader or Bertuzzi as the third member. Hudler looked better against the Oilers, but Babcock is exactly right in that he needs to bring that effort far more consistently than he has to this point. I like Hudler, am geninuely glad he came back and feel he will be a valuable asset to the Red Wings as the season progesses. I couldn't care less about the Filppula vs. Hudler debate because they are both Red Wings and I don't give a crap about one side of the respective player's fans being able to say they were right all along. We should all want both of them to succeed.

Now now, guys, stop with that inferiority complex. Clearly we're being jealous of all the cups and success the Blues have.

True -- though only if the Blues lose tonight in regulation while the Wings win. Admittedly, it's way too early in the season to even care about this. I'd just leave the desperate Blues fan to get excited over the first 1/6th of the season. He's obviously looking, and looking very hard, for reasons to cheer his team on. I honestly think just loving hockey is enough, but deluding one's self I suppose works too.

Meant to get back on here sooner but I was busy the past week. Playing at the Joe was an unbeleiveable experience. There was nothing like skating right out to the center ice Hockeytown Logo and touch it with my hand. I wish I could say the game was a success for my team but we played a team from Fraser that was an all adult team against a few of our kids and the rest were our adult team and the team from Fraser had been playing together for years so my team lost 9-0 we only got one shot on goal. The whole days was a blast. Watching both teams practice in the morning was great. Being in the basement of the Joe where our locker rooms were was AWESOME!! Seeing all the names and years of the Championship Teams on the wall was soo cool. Seeing the Stock room where all the Merchandise was kept than after the game both teams and families when to the Manhattan Room in the Joe and had Pizza for Dinner and staying in the room until the game seeing all the cool photos and memorbilia on the walls. Than whlie we were still in waiting for the doors to open a few of the players came through the room, I got to shake Zetterberg's, Helm's MacDonald,s and Cleary's hand was just fantastic and then of course having the Wings win just topped off a great day and wonderful experience!! It's something that will stick with me forever.
