Seriously, can hockey just stop it with the stupid, gimmicky, screen-print graphic jerseys for the love of all that is holy and right? Keep it simple - bold colors, stripes, a decent, readable font, and above all a classy logo; that's all you need. That Wild Wing, the King's Burger King jersey, the Islander's Gorton Fisherman, I don't think any of those lasted more than a season due to fan outrage.

You have to beat the best, that's the way i see it, philly is easily the best team in the east and if detroit can't beat them well i guess they aren't worthy to become champions.

As much as I'd like to see a Det/Pitt match-up, I'd be very intrigued with a Det/Phil SCF, if we were so blessed. That would be an intense series. Rematch even.

Osgood's really only had one rough start and even in that start, he was hung out to dry the majority of the time. Watch the video replays and look up the recaps if you don't remember. The rest of the time, Osgoods been solid. And while the Devils are horrible, they dumped quite a few shots on Osgood and many quality scoring chances. Osgood had to be great to hold them to the 1 goal. I'm not saying it should go to a 50-50 rotation yet either, but the idea that Osgood has played poorly this year is unfounded. I'll say though right now, if Osgood keeps this up and plays at a strong level down the stretch, I would like to see him start in the playoffs. That is where he shines, and Howard stands to learn a lot from watching Osgood when it matters most. I believe in Howard long run, but I also believe in the developmental process. I'd rather go with the veteran and let the next guy learn how it's done especially after Howard's less than stellar run last year.

Why is it that whenever somebody from the bottom six needs to fill in on a scoring line that Babs chooses Miller over Eaves? There has to be a good reason for it. I thought Eaves is the one with the greater upside offensively?

If Modano is able to return and is healthy, I don't think we need to make a move. Maybe unloading Hudler if his play has not improved but then the question becomes what could you really get in return?

I'm busy counting how many time people have told you to wake up and realize what Larsson did was incredibly stupid. It's definitely been more than two.

If Larsson's comments were indicative of his overall attitude, then the team doesn't need him. Players like that are poor for the team dynamic and cause problems in the locker room. It's likely that this is the reason Holland never brings them onto the team.

Like I said before: you don't bash the winningest goaltender in Detroit Red Wings history just because you believe he is done. That isn't being eager, it's being selfish and stupid.

I can only imagine the look on Bab's face after reading that. What a stupid cocky little f***. I don't even care if you outplayed Howard and think Osgood is finished. You don't pretend you are better than a goaltender who can actually hack it in the NHL (how many games have you played, there Dan?) and bash the winningest goaltender in Wings history. That just screams "I don't care about the team, just myself." Larsson will not be a Wing for long.

Absolutely they deserve better. A long-standing, once proud franchise is in the pits of despair with no discernible way out. Much like the Hawks, once they regain some of their former glory it's back on the Public Enemy list, but for now they deserve our compassion.
