Ok so it wasn't the Wings, but we got treated to some fantastic goaltending by Tim Thomas. As a hockey fan, it was a joy watching him in the finals. As a Michigan native, also from the Flint area, I can't help but have a special appreciation for this guy. And he'll cap it off next week with a well deserved Vezina.

Personally, I look at the Selke group something like this: Group A: 'The perennial challengers' (guys who are considered front-runners every year) Datsyuk J. Staal Kesler Group B: 'The runners-up' (Guys likely to be top 3 or be talked about a lot every year) Zetterberg M. Richards M. Koivu Group C: 'The also rans' (Guys who could or should get recognition, might show up in top 5 a few times) Filppula Bolland Nielsen Malhotra Legwand Fisher (pre-marriage) Probably a couple others in each of group B and C, but I feel they serve as good examples.

Were you even watching? They cheered Thomas when he hoisted the cup, a pretty damned good cheer for the guy on the opposing team. They booed when Bettman was out there. God Bless Vancouver fans for booing that piece of s***.

Those overrated twinks aren't built for playoff hockey. Their primadonna style is strictly for regular season fanciness. They don't play hard along the boards or compete for loose pucks consistently. Just look at our eurotwins and compare the level of compete between those two pairs. Not even close. If anybody here lives in Vancouver, and currently has a car parked on the street, I advise you to move it swiftly.
