an argument can be made saying these things happen almost every game however, i believe Crosby was saying things like all headshots and head hits needed to get banned, period. and yet he's dishing one out.

I enjoyed watching Howard rip HWSNBN's helmet off there at the end.

I am less impressed with the fact he starts something than his teammates come to finish it.... That little shot to the head was a ***** move, but not particularly dangerous. Now I can see why some people would make this a big deal as he did go on a 50000 city tour opening for Charlie Sheen with the whole 'head shots aren't a part of the game'. I do believe if hes going to take the moral high ground and not put himself in position for someone to take a run at him hes going to have to start walking what he talks.

This is a case of HWSNBN writing checks with his elbow that his ass can't cash. Meaning, if you're going to pull a stunt like that, whether it was warranted or unwarranted, you need to be prepared for the same happening to you. You think he is? You think he's going to take an elbow/butt-end to the face and say "Well, I did it to some other guy, so what goes around comes around"?

But after about a second or two he passed out and "star-fished" on the ice. It looked like he was out cold for about 5-10 seconds. Then he came to and kept kicking his legs. The player that shot the puck was 21 year old rookie Roman Josi. Josi was quite the class act, he went over to Eaves as he laid on the ice and he also went over to Eaves as they roll him off the ice and gave a stick-tap to the stretcher. Josi looked like he was going to throw up, he felt so badly about accidentally injuring Eaves. I hope Eaves is alright.

Poor Eaves, just when he gets to play this has to happen to him. I don't think it is fair that he has to sit while others who are contributing nothing to the team get to play every game. I hope he gets better soon.

I wouldn't mind if Pavel was given the captaincy. He seems to be bringing it every game, which is the mark of a captain and leader. I haven't seen that from Zetterberg this season. Too many off games. The fact that he speaks better English than Pavel is not as important as his play every night.

Yep, they're also the face of the franchise in an English speaking, media hungry market. But you're right, in terms of work rate, work ethic, skill level, production, leadership etc he has everything you want in a captain.

The "C" isn't just about the being the best player on the team, it's also about the most capable to lead and unfortunately for Pasha, the language barrier HAS to factor in there as well for communicating with refs, press events, team meetings, etc... when the unthinkable happens, the new captain will STILL be Z and if it's not, there's a better chance it would be Kronwall than Dats...

Meh, that happens to Holmstrom and Franzen every game when they are in front of the net. Much ado about nothing, but I guess as long as we can bash Crosby we might as well.
