Like Dabura said, DeKeyser made a helluva play to knock the puck off Stamkos's stick on the 2 on 1. For missing two of our top 6 forwards, and one of our top pair D (Ericsson), to only be down 1 to the conference leader is not too bad. They've had their chances, and the passing has been bad, but give TB some credit, they are a good team. The game is far from over. Let's Go Wings!

Kyle Quincey kills me.

So. I don't have any huge issue with Filpulla going to Tampa. But it annoys me to no end that he seemed to shoot the puck and drive the net more in that first period then he typically did in any 2-3 game stretch last year.

Quincey's absolute failure is amplified now that Smith can't absorb some of the blame.

Jesus Babcock, I said the exact same thing last game. Keep Quincey the f*** off the ice when Datsyuk and Zetterberg are on.

Or just keep him off the ice altogether. I agree though -- Kronwall and DeKeyser need to be out there against Stamkos. Quincey coughed up the puck in the neutral zone and allowed the Lightning to come right back in. He's noticeably bad almost every shift lately.

3 freaking turnovers by Quincey on one damn shift.

Or maybe he hasn't wiped that grin off of his face yet, and Babs wants him to keep that grin on his face and dream of coming back and doing it again.

I agree that hockey is more than points, and I also agree with the premise implied in the post above yours by Z Winged Dangler via gif that Datsyuk is a remarkably better defensive player than Ovechkin. My comment wasn't about who plays better defensively or overall. I was just pointing out that I am amazed at Ovechkin's point total thus far, especially considering the past few years he hasn't been in top form. You can say what you want about the rest of his game, but Ovechkin certainly knows how to score.

You know, this is the kind of thing that we appreciate about him being here...to watch him quietly rise up the charts of all-time scorers. He's in the top 10 on the Wings as well, not far behind the greats - Howe, Delvecchio, Lidstrom, Yzerman, etc. He goes about it in his own quiet way, and we can only thank the powers that be that we have had the chance to watch it over the years. Wherever he winds up on the charts, it won't matter...numbers don't capture the joy of watching him.

I think Pav finishes 2nd behind Feds IF he plays with Z or someone else that can create offense too for the rest of the time he's here. If not, I still think it's possible he finishes that high but more unlikely. Obviously depends on his health as he ages as well. I put Z finishing his career in 6th behind Sundin, Lids, Alfie, and both Sedins. Behind the Sedins simply because of games played though because Z is the best player out of the three in my opinion. And it's unfortunate because the longer the sedins career goes the more they creep me out, but that's a story for another day.

I really dont care how they do it, just get cleary out n get nyquist in. I think i speak for all when i say this.

Journey, far and away is my favorite indie game. Everything about it is fantastic, the art direction, the soundtrack, the emotion. For a game with no spoken words, you find yourself caring an awful lot about the fate of your character. Amazing game. Highly recommended.
