I'm thinking out of Nestrasil, Ferraro, or Callahan that Nestrasil has the best chance of not being waived.

The Jarnkrok trade was a pure panic move based on the notion of him going back to Sweden stock didn't come true. You just don't trade a guy like him for 2 months of a third line center, when the team is in extreme need of defense

I never understand this argument. Player X only looks good becuz he's playing with Player Y. Well, what's the problem then? Ericsson will play with Kronwall during the season. It's like being upset that your tennis shoe doesn't feel comfortable when worn with a dress shoe on the other foot. What’s the old saying? Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Eventually even an idiot like Snow is going to make a deal. To be honest though, two second rounders and a third is a lot to give up. Chiarelli is falling victim to the salary cap. The same thing that gutted the Wings offence in the summer of 09. I still think he’s a great GM. Snow has to make a move. He has one of those teams that needs to start winning. Holland is just trying to stay afloat while his stable of good prospects start to come. I still think he’s a great GM too. Fair enough. You’re right. Any Wings fan should still take Holland all the time over Snow. That almost goes without saying.

No where did I say the Islanders franchise were model, nor better then the Wings. Didn't compare Garth to Kenny either, you did that. Hell, I didn't even say their defense is better then ours. All I said was Garth at least tries, he's quite the idiot usually, but today not so much. I'm sure Holland does lots of work behind the scenes, but nothing ever comes of it. Don't jump all over me for a sentence haha. Once in a while, I wouldn't mind seeing Kenny take a chance in a trade. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't but it's better then bringing back the same roster from last year that didn't do a whole lot. Now, if one of the kids gets a spot in the top 6 and Kindl is on the bench then I won't really care either way. If we're going to be mediocre again this season, I'd rather see young guys playing because the sooner they're in the lineup, the sooner we're one of the top teams in the East.

Nestrasil, Callahan, Ouellett... please stay in the NHL.

One thing is for sure. Oulette is so much better than kindl it isn't even funny. So much more composed, a better skater, smarter. I will be extremely disappointed in babs if he opts to play kindl over oulette. On a final note, good for goose to score in the shootout... Maybe confidence booster to get him going a bit more.

From what I've seen Babcock has never been the kind of guy to throw up media smoke screens. He means what he says. If he says he thinks he'll stay in Detroit, I tend to believe that's the most likely outcome. Ppl who think Babs is leaving I tend to group with the same ppl who thought fersure Dats was leaving. It's all doom and gloom till he stays, then those ppl who were 'so sure' he would leave disappear into the woodwork. Not saying that's you, but that's the tendency I see anyway.

A team that can barely make it out of the first round once in the last 3 seasons is not underrated. Everyone knows the team is in a mini-rebuild mode.
