I love how the jokes about Holland's cliches are actually becoming even bigger cliches then the source material. Very meta.

    The return of The Mule?

I'm guessing this isn't directed to me as I am not one to put down Franzen, but here are my thoughts. From my understanding, doctors will give Franzen the okay if he is fully recovered from his concussion. It is also my understanding that with every concussion you get, you are more likely to get another one if you receive another blow to the head or even body. Based on the number of concussions he has had, and based on the fact that it appears every year he is missing more and more time, and from what I read his symptoms are getting worse and worse (this could be wrong) I hope he never plays again for his own health. If it was told to me that Franzen would never have another concussion again with 100% certainty, I would gladly have him back in our lineup. Him at 100% is exactly the kind of player we need.

    The return of The Mule?

As time has gone on, I've realized that I really would like him back on the team. He has frustrating tendencies, sure, but he's still good for some goals, and when he heats up, he's a dominant scorer. Given the state of things now, it'd be nice to have that guy back in the lineup, and it really makes you wonder how the Tampa series would've gone if he was healthy. But it's still hard for me to wrap my head around it being a good idea for him to play again. It just seems too risky given how bad this concussion has been. I have a feeling that at this point he will play again, and as said, part of me will be glad, especially if that's what he wants. But that won't lessen the weight of the fact that it's a scary proposition.

    The return of The Mule?

The first thing I'll do is question where the doctors went to medical school and did their residency.

    The return of The Mule?

So for all you guys who are so concerned for Franzen's health...If doctors declare him healthy enough to return and claim he's at no more risk of serious injury than many players in the league...You'll fully support him as a player? Or are you all just hiding behind a shroud of caring?

People need to drop this. It's obviously only box seats or whatever and there are still plenty of Hawks jerseys in the stands so its ignored or worked around. Hawks like to pretend they are the downtrodden underdogs and them against the world even when they are top team in league and favored to win. Their manufacturing of angst is getting about as old and ridiculous as Chelsea Dagger.

Kicked tires. Explored market. Prices too high. We like our kids. We like our team. Franzen being back is like signing a free agent.

    The return of The Mule?

I'll be excited for his 15-30 goals and ability to play up and down in the top nine, at wing and c if we absolutely needed him to.

Red Wings in on D Mike Reilly

You can gusto in my general direction all you want young lady. It doesn't change the fact that if we got both oreilly and reilly and then got franson and somehow added Smith, and then drank a few ginger als that the games would be wildly entertaining. *gusto right back at your face*

    2015 Draft

Oh they wouldn't have done that anyway? You think eichel would have been free from media harassment had he not said anything? You don't think if they both become big stars their entire careers won't be intertwined like sydney and ovie?

It will be a two way contract so no problem with it at all..some veteran leadership will be nice for the griffins

Am I the only one who doesn't give a s***? Give him a two-way at league minimum and send him down to GR to mentor the n3wbs. Bring him up as a 4th line veteran when we inevitably get BF'd by injuries down the stretch. That way, next year when he steps on as an assistant coach he has a good read of our prospects. Profit.

    2015 Draft

Just because Mcdavid didn't say the same thing as eichel, doesn't mean he doesn't think the exact same thing. Don't you argue against how everyone has to be politically correct all the time too? So who cares that he's confident in himself, if he didn't think he could be the best, he wouldn't be anywhere near as good as he is.

Arrogant? Blow things out of proportion much Frank? From that article: “I’m pretty confident in my own abilities,” Eichel told a throng of reporters and cameras Friday at the NHL Scouting Combine inside HarborCenter. “I know everyone’s making a big deal.” Eichel never intended to compare himself to McDavid, who will be picked first by the Edmonton Oilers. “It’s more of just confidence in my own self,” Eichel said. Seems pretty down to earth to me, nothing wrong with confidence in oneself.

http://tbo.com/sports/lightning/tampa-will-dye-channel-bolts-blue-before-game-2-today-20150606/ Apparently, Tampa Bay is now forcing it's dress code on public waterways.

Agreed. Another expendable player, just like Nestrasil was. The whole point is that Cleary on the team isn't going to prevent better players from actually getting into the games. Somebody has to be your 14th forward -- better someone like Cleary than a prospect who could be playing every night in Grand Rapids.

Exactly my point. Neither of us know so let's not pretend to know.

Lol. I kind of want it to happen just to see people lose their minds.

And everything indicates that this is due to the Lightning's sales/marketing/business people. Not the GM of the team.

I don't hate Dan Cleary, but he's starting to remind me of that guy who just sort of invites himself to everything.

Neither, but Fedorov deserves a lot more votes here than Osgood. Don't forget, he won the Hart Trophy, 2 Selke's and the Ted Lindsay award. Both won 3 cups. Not to mention his superior hockey swag. White Skates ->>>> Birdcage
