What's wrong with high numbers? It may just be a matter of speed and PK prowess. AA could replace those qualities that Ferraro brings to the table and maybe also help us out in the faceoff circle, where we've been getting mauled.

This. From an old defense man perspective Kronwall is clearly best overall defender. Base talent level, execution, vision is a notch higher than the rest overall. Worth mentioning that Green is better than Kronner offensively. Then you have the good specialists: DeKeyser - good defensive player. Could develop into a good 2-way player, but won't reach Kronwall level. Good size and mobility. Green - excellent offensive d-man but average defensively. Reached his ceiling. Quincey - good defensive player. Below average offensive skills. Reached his ceiling. Marchenko - good defensive player. Still raw, but has talent. Could possibly reach Kronwall level. The rest are a notch below those listed overall and should ideally be replaced. I'm not considering our current AHL players.

I really hope Hank isn't hurt, he has had a heck of a start to the season, and I was really looking forward to seeing him healthy all season. If he is, somebody needs to punch Smith in the yambag for being a f**ktard and giving his captain his hardest hit of the season. Back to the threads topic.... Green is back in today against Dallas

Overall ranking including defense, hockey IQ, offense. Kronwall Dekeyser (yes green is better offensively than DK, but obviously DK is a much safer and less liable D-man) Green Quincey Marchenko Rest are literally garbage and we're basically stuck with them. But even so the list continues for me as - Ericsson Kindl Smith DK, Kronwall and Marchenko have good hockey IQ and are good defensively (although Marchenko makes a good amount of mistakes but I'll say he's still developing). Kronwall is very good offensively as well while the other two aren't. Kronner can easily put up 50 points if given the opportunity (but having a s**** D partner sort of doesn't help). Kindl is a better offensive D-man than Smith peroid. But both Kindl and Smith have terrible hockey IQ and the fact that they are both in their upper 20s and still make dumb plays consistently is concerning. At this point in their career I'm not sure how much more they can improve. Maybe a little bit more? It's not like they're 22 or 23 years old. Ericsson is a turnover machine but he has grit and has damn good fighting skills that he should utilize more. I think he's a good 3rd pair D-man. Unfortunately I think he became a bit sheltered under Babcock and doesn't seem to want to drop the gloves or throw his body as much. IDK.

You really must just be trying to get a reaction. Q is not better than Kronwall or DK And, "Toss Up The Rest?" that means that you think that Brenden Smith or Kindl might be better than Green. Green was quite good before his injury.

watching a game live brings a whole new perspective especially when your team is struggling. D can't make a clean to pass to the forwards, forwards maybe aren't putting themselves in good positions to receive a pass. these 2 things though have zero to do with the fact that this team had NO energy at all. no forecheck, no hits, no shots, just plain bad. the game was pathetic and you could just sense it that the leafs were going to tie the game late in the third. 3 on 3 is great to watch however. and i got a s*** ton of likes on my team russia datsyuk jersey.

Kindl Andersson Ferraro Marchenko Jurco should get some games in too, give Miller a few nights off.

Looking ugly in GR after 7 games so far. Only 10 goals for and 24 goals against. It may be early, but this new coach has not been impressive, especially after the crap pulled by Bertuzzi against the Marlies the other day.
