Steve Ott brings more to this team than Riley Sheahan. Has more goals, is 60% on faceoffs while Sheahan is 51% And Ott can drop gloves and doesn't act like a pansy out on ice. And what's funny is Ott and Sheahan's Corsi rating is about the same Sheahan isn't favored by either advance metrics nor traditional thought process.

He has 2 goals and he wins fights. Zero correlation is just bs, i'm sorry. Fans love fights, it brings up the energy, it gives the home team a boost. If you deny that, you haven't been watching hockey long enough. I know momentum isn't in your little Corsi mathematical moneyball system that you seem to be a fan of, but it's part of home ice advantage and has a direct impact on the pace of the game. Sheahan has done nothing to improve this team this season. He's paid more and is worth less. I would gladly waive him right now without a flinch.

It was ugly all around, lazy D, weak wrister between the legs, bunch of Wings floating around. Sums up the season. Both goals were stoppable, by both Mrazek and the D. There just seems to be no energy or care when a goal is scored.

You can also blame it on Smith. Either you block the shot or you attack the shooter. Standing there and doing nothing is not exactly helpful.

Why not multitask? Julien got fired, Wings should look into getting him. I think he'd make this team a lot better than Blashill. I think he might be a better option than Hitchcock as Julien hasn't shown any indication of wanting to retire and has never recorded a losing season in all his seasons as an NHL coach. Shocky2002 is a troll (not a very good one), don't take the bait.

MJ Keenan is best Keenan. Seriously some pretty good options in coaches this year. If Holland doesn't make a change and Blash doesn't pick things up next year, passing on some of these guys will be a huge mistake.

Julien, Hitchcock, Gallant, and a few other coaches are unemployed, but Kenny sticks with Blashill. Guess that AHL title deserves some good ol Holland loyalty, even though the NHL is a much different league and he's obviously in over his head. Any other coach would have been canned by now with how he grasps at straws with bizarre line mixups and flip flopping goalies hoping it works because he has no idea what he's doing. No, but we also can't say he'll explore those options lol I fully expect Blashill to be back behind the bench to open LCA. Holland hasn't even hinted that he is unhappy with him yet.
